I had same bike. Opened up the pipes and it sounded great.mine was the maxim.

just the stock chrome tubes? i was thinking of building or finding a 4-2-1 exhaust but if i can just reuse the stock and blow the guts out of it it would save a bunch of money. is this what this one is? it sounds wicked.

@@Ottienger yes stock tubes. You wouldn't believe how good it sounded. Especially going thru tunnels. I miss that bike.

Love it! I have 2 XJ650's, 1 is the YICS. The _whistling_ sound is awesome!

Omg im dying here,my bike is in my front alcove waiting for summer to come, 4 months from now I will hear this sound again.I hate winter.mine is a 1985 700, sounds the same.

How do you get the exhaust to sound like that with the original exhaust on the bike.? Did you remove the baffles.?

It all depends on the condition of the bike and the location your buying it at, mid condition, meaning runs with decent tires I say 1500 to 2000
