Nice choices you made

Forgot to mention wifi ac in bluesound and not in yamaha (and just 2.4GHz). And Bluetooth v5 in bluesound and v2or3 in yamaha.

Thank you for a honest review. Have one question. If you have to choose between (Bluesound node 2i) or (Wxc50 + high end dac) for a best perormence,....?? W. H. R

Connecting to active speakers I use “real cables“ white rca 2m each Connecting to an amp I use “audioquest“ green rca 0,6m each

But how do they blend?

Been using the WXA-50 for 5 months now with 3020i and yesterday for the first time I noticed that the amp is sending out a very mild but noticeable static noise on the speakers when AUX is selected. Does your unit do the same? Is this supposed to happen?

Yes it does. The problem is the aux input. Can you change to rca or a digital input?

​@@denstrdv7349 That's a question incredibly subjective and hard to answer without reference to another common device. Been using it for about 3 years now and I am very happy. I had to buy a Topping D10s bridge to convert usb to optical in order to get rid of the very mild aux input static. But since then I haven't had any issues that bothered me. I love the sound. It has a surprisingly nice soundstage and the imaging is quite detailed even on high volumes. I use it as a pair of desk speakers and the sound seems to be coming from the middle of my monitors when in reality the speakers are placed on the far ends of a 6 feet countertop. Even for my uncalibrated room I love the sound it produces overall. I've listened to KRK Rokits (without wxa-50) and a few other similarly priced Edifier speakers(active ones) which sounded hollow and unnecessarily wam. Qacoustics ones sound meaty(?) with a solid thick sound signature. I love my sound system.

lenso010 Yes I did. They sound a little tiny bit better than the same songs via spotify connect. I really couldn‘t hear a difference between MQA and Hifi. My speakers should be able to show differences. So maybe a better DAC would!?

Digital Philosophy I use older version of Yamaha. It doesn’t have a build in tidal. I can play it via 16bit airplay from iphone . I can hear the difference clearly between tidal master and tidal hifi. The Master record has much details. Spotify plays via iphone (wifi connection and I dont think it is Airplay) It has less details and has more bassy sound. The reason I want to buy a stand alone streaming device because when I close the app the music stops. The stand alone devices don’t have that problem.

Digital Philosophy It may sound crazy but It is sony core cs5. It has amazing sound stage. I went to dynaudio store to buy floor-standing speakers. I left the store without buying . I listened their 1500 euro speakers, It was not 1500 euro sound for me vs cs5. They will ofer me evoke 50 next week. Lets see how it goes.

The Yamaha music cast app is average. No scroll back and forth function when playing a track, and Tidal functionality sucks. Otherwise a very good streamer.

i have 3 bluesound and they all fail within 5 years. love them when they are working but i bet the yamaha will last 5 plus years.
