Yamaha Virago 250 (XV250) - Aftermarket Exhaust vs Stock Sound / Road Test
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Here's a clip of my Yamaha Virago 250 (XV250) with the aftermarket exhaust sound vs Stock. Also some footage of my motorcycle accelerating with the exhaust installed. The previous video I had uploaded had music in the background to distract from the wind noise in the mic.
I figured I'd upload a raw version to really hear how nice these pipes sound. Enjoy - Stealth
If you want to purchase the same exhaust for your Virago/V-star/XV250, you can get it here:

Nice. I have an 88 250 I bobbed out a few years ago. You've def inspired me to get it back out and do a few more things.
As a sport bike rider , I will one day own one. Harleys are nice, but I'm a minimalist and these are underrated.

Awesome sound. I'd love to do this with my '08 VL250 Intruder, the huge 'drain pipe' exhaust was so quiet. Major hassle to get carb off the suzuki, and the bowl screws are so tight the heads almost stripped out. In the end I just drilled half a dozen 10mm holes in the muffler tip. Sounds a bit bassier, luckily hasn't affected economy/power and it doesn't crackle or backfire so it should be OK. Still, someday I'd love to put a set like this on it.
The link for these pipes goes to a "page not found" do you remember the name for this set of pipes? They look and sound great! Also, were they easy to install? I've seen other exhaust installs for this bike that required bending the mounting brackets and ended with the pipes not being lined up.
Tangina sarap sa ears, the sound brother! 😎👌
Thanks for the sound comparison. I love my virago. Keep the buckhorn bars! Too many wannabes chop these things up into some half baked "bobber"
I’ve almost got mine payed off. I’m going to need to rejet, get that exhaust, and get some type of buckhorn handlebars.
How do you like it? I was looking at a 2002 with by 11k miles for 1400.
Did you have to Jet the carb for the new intake and exhaust ? If so what jets did you put in it ?
¿Tienes algún video de como se instala estos escapes? Quiero comprarlos

@@MotoGearSolid Well, my XV250 is in good shape but not as good as yours. it's not much of a comfortable bike in general but it's pretty strong. I can't afford to take it for a good paint job either
Is the performance a lot better, or is it hard to tell? I like to keep things stock, but if the performance were really better, I might upgrade.
I feel like this bike competed directly with the Suzuki intruder 250!
Sound good, how was assembly? Easy?

I have an 09 vstar 250 that's nearly identical. We're did you find this exhaust? Would like different bars too, just new to riding am unsure of parts outside of general maintenance .
Bro, where can I buy the speedometer, turn lights signals?
Hi , Great video . What size main jet and idle jet did you install ?

What s the exhaust model?
I bought these same pipes - as linked. Mine do not fit at all. The stock nut is too long to work. I can replace that sure. But neither of the brackets are event close. Did you have to modify these at all? Gunna have to put the old pipes back on after a day wasted. Scratch the crap out of the engine cover too which sucks.

@@Yowzoe so. I sucked it up and kept at it. Carefully. Super carefully. I got the bolts in as best I was able. I was worried about cracking the engine or threading the bolt holes. I then used straps to sorta slowly bend and tighten and bend and tighten. It wasn’t easy but I managed to get then into a decent installed shape. For the record 100% of the Amazon and Ali Baba parts I have bought have been junk. They don’t fit and they don’t function. Likewise 100% of the OEM parts I have bought and 100% of the parts I got from WeBike work perfectly. I definitely lost money buying “great deal” parts.

@@beautifulmachinesaus congrats! At least you have a bit of a story to tell now, and lesson learned. I have to keep learning that lesson. I was looking at some eBay fog lights for another bike…was tempted. Thanks for reminding me.

Yo tengo los mismos escapes 2 años y la moto va perfecta, como dice él, es importante ajustar el carburador, pero porque el recorrido de los gases es diferente y no funcionaría bien, no es porque se estropee, es por eficiencia
