Yamaha TW200 - The Other Mountain Goat

Ойын-сауық

115F in the desert today, why not go for a ride!
Thought I'd give Hell Hole Pass a shot.
Ascending from the West side, getting to the Pass is a steep, loose track in the Beaver Dam Mountains of Southwestern Utah. Good, clean fun.
And riding the TW200 seemed liked a great idea since I've been wanting to spend more time riding this little bike. Let me just say...the TW200 is awesome!
Hitting the desert just after sunrise, temp still manageable, I was able to get up to the Pass and down and the hell outta there before it got miserable!
More to come with this bike!

Ive been a long time watcher of your videos and I was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing sarcoma. Im 22 and cant really ride anymore except on cloudy days due to chemo which as you know are rare in Vegas 😂 i love watching these videos because they remind me of riding in the spring mountains of las vegas. Keep uo the good work. One day ill be cured and back on my bulletproof CRF250L on riads just like this!

I took my Tdub on a 10 day, 2028 mile dirt trip through MN, SD, WY, MT, ND. Absolutely exceeded my expectations! Larger foot pegs, Cogent DDC drop ins and Bradley adventure shock worked fantastic on a loaded Tdub! Great video!

The T-Dub is a mythical creature that seems to infect everyone with a childlike giggle. I just started the video but I’m waiting for it.😂😂😂

They brought them out in Australia mainly for agricultural farm use, because they are designed to be pretty hardy

TW 200 is great bike. I had an '87 I got from my buddy and I had it from about '97 to '07. Wished I still had it.

Love UT! Sweet ride and thanks for the tag along. 👍 I went with the Suzuki Van Van 200 when 1st looking for a 200 putter. Also looking now for a TW 200 for my offroad stuff puttin (dig my VV but hate to flog it offroad because of its limited availability here in 18 and 19 only).

I love to have a TW, but with 6’7” it’s not gonna happen haha. Would like to get the KLX up there that looks like ideal playground for it.

Tdubs are awesome. I bought one back in 2020 and I don't think I'll ever sell it. I ride other bikes too but I just keep going back to the tdub, there's just something about it.

Nice ride. Would love to hear more comparison/contrast between the TW and the XT, since you own both. As I've said before, you've got a nice stable! Thanks for sharing.

I wondered what the highway speed would be like 55 possibly. If it would hold 55 to 60 I would probably be interested in one thank you for another video.

55 doesn't seem to be a problem. Maintaining it in a head wind, going uphill..well...

I got a dr650 and a tw200, love them both. I’m forced to sell one of them, not sure which one to sell because of how much I love the Tw. Just wish I could keep both. Which one should I sell? If the Tw were a 300-500cc for higher speed use, it would be a no brainer.

Tough choice amigo. Guess that'll have to come down to which one you enjoy the most and you might have answered your own question.

So if you had to pick one between the xt250 and the TW200 to mainly use off road. What would you pick to go with a KLR? Looking to finally pick up a 2nd bike this year to take on trails that are bit much for the KLR.

The XT. It has that bit of extra power over the TW without costing weight/nimbleness.

needs a bigger engine...Honda made a FT350, but not street legal.....c'mon Yamaha, put a 300-400 cc and make it street legal, and 6 speed ...fuel injected and LC. It would sell in the millions....keep that low gear though. Garth
