I am wanting a Teneré 700 as my next bike. I had bad buffeting issues previously on both my 2007 Suzuki VStrom and my 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900. I had great success eliminating the buffeting with an MRA X-Screen variable windscreen spoiler. It can be both bolted and clamped on. It allows you to change the height and angle of the spoiler. At the time I bought my Yamaha Tracer (2018), it had been redesigned and there were few aftermarket accessories available and the little MRA spoiler, surprisingly, fixed my wind buffeting issues.

Great video. Well done. Having the right windscreen is really important for me. It really alters the riding experience. Here in NH we have bad roads too so I know what you mean by looking over it versus through it. But a big windscreen keeps the cold air off of me and really extends the season in the spring and fall.

Hi all. I’m 6ft tall and use a kilm krios helmet. I’ve got the flip power bronze screen it’s 400mm tall £75 & does not look too out of place on the T7 unlike some of the other screens on the market. They also sell wind wing deflectors on the power bronze site but I’ve yet to use them. The screen works well for me.

What if going even lower at Yamaha oem windscreen?? I mean if you put one that is right at the height of small bar for gps what happen then?? I mean the air defently hit you more but if hit you like a naked bike ,without any bufering ,thats great!

What do you think about just using thie mid high with adjustable mounts so you can raise and lower as needed??

I got the Givi screen. When turning the handlebars, the screen blocks the handguards before its fully turned. Actually could break the screen mount if i pushed it.

I bought the tall clear Givi screen and immediately notice the distortion band in the middle of the screen were it changes angles. This becomes a BIG problem when standing up looking through the screen at low speeds off road. I can't believe factory Givi test riders would give the go ahead for full production with this annoying flaw. I ended up cutting off the top 1/3 of the screen.

Very helpful, this presentation - I am running the mid screen as well but was surprised at the slight but noticeable slowing of acceleration with a larger screen - did you notice this as well? Not that much bigger but certainly a change there... in any case, much thanks for all you do!

@@LookattheBiggerPic Ha Ha! If I drive a four wheel vehicle, it is usually an SUV or a pickup truck, so I just laugh at the price of filling up a motorcycle tank! Also, I'm originally from Europe and are used to way higher prices of gasoline, but with more taxes being paid on the gasoline, the roads and the amount of roads being built, is also way higher in Europe!

Great video. Do you ever stand, and if so is the Give still a problem to look through on rough roads? Which has the least distortion in the "glass"? Thanks

When standing, I look over the Givi windscreen. There is no distortion in any of the three windscreens. I just don't like to look through the screens, because the roads here in the Deep South of United States are in very bad conditions and you never know if there will be a pothole or a large expansion bump in the pavement, and if there are water droplets on the screen and you have to look through the screen it is hard to see the surface of the pavement!

To add some perspective, at 6'2" what is your inseam? I'm the same height but a 32" inseam so those screens may work differently if you have a taller inseam thus a shorter body.

Thanks for the great video(s). But I was confused what to do. At least I found a device by the German company Kedo (in Hamburg) that allows to keep the OEM windshield. You can lift it for 70mm and even lower it related to the standard position for 15mm. That helps to look over it when you are sitting on rough terrain for a moment of relaxing. It is adjustable step less without tools. This is a good economical compromise. (78€)

4:50 ... LA doesn't want to play the Fed govt extorsion game. That's why they don't take federal govt money.

So Louisiana doesn't take federal money during natural disasters? A study in 2023 showed that Louisiana is one of the most dependent states on federal aid. In fact it's overly dependent. So you might want to check back up on that.
