Ahh man I was totally hoping for a quick 10 to 15 second Sound demo. Still a great review. But I don't know if it can power my Polk Reserve 200s?

The "character" of a receiver really doesn't come through in a video. It will work, but I'd get something with more power, and not for the power rating really, but for a more robust power supply.

I hate the lack of composite connectors.

It doesn't come 4k/120hz support out of box and now recently they said the Avr needs to be sent back to Yamaha to fix them unlike denon.

Well Denon makes you use a dongle which yeah hard pass.

Hello Havanero, did you have a specific question about on board DAC? A look at Yamaha's website on the RX-A2A didn't reveal much DAC discussion. would just like to know two things will this receiver give me AM/FM Local Radio and will the 100 watts per channel ruin my older Kleipsh Speakers rated at only 50 watts.

It does have good ole' radio. Speaker wattage ratings are a bit of a half truth. More power is never a bad thing unless you turn the volume up to very dangerous levels that you wouldn't anyway. In fact lack of power is more likely to damage speakers than more.

I wanted lasts years Yamaha for Xbox series x and PS5 at 4k HDR at 120fps VRR But we all know what happened to that. this looks like its ready to go. I don't need to wait for a firmware update for 4k at 120fps do I? $1600au

It should be ready to go out of the box given that Yamaha states it supports 4K120AB. The "AB" referring to uncompressed and compressed data streams respectively. That was the issue last year, the first batch of HDMI 2.1 silicon was rushed and the difference was not accounted for, and it sure mattered. RIP PS5 owners with a 2020 HDMI 2.1 receiver. That was a mess.

Junk sorry to tell you . Menus suck does not have much weight to it remote dose not light up . Turn nob on front feels rough . Had read Up on change the hdmi function to work with atmos . sorry was a Yamaha fan but going to try a Denon now

The amount of incorrect statements you made here is astounding. Your video was decent, but I would suggest a better understanding of the product and market this video was geared to. Too many errors.
