Super helpful ... Thanks. I use the help of my 9 years old daughter (paid her 10$ to keep her interested :) ). I align things up and she pushes the rod. I also used a brick under the wheel to make things easier. Appreciate you insisting on doing it alone to make the video more helpful to loners ;)

I’m literally having the same problem as we speak with connecting the spacer and caliber right now… and decide to see if I’m the only one having issues…. Geez… this is a pain in the ass!! Lol

Didn’t have a skateboard handy but had an empty motor oil bottle, put it under the tire and let air escape till it was the perfect height 👌🏽

I'm just curious, wouldn't have been easier to put the caliper on the rotor after putting the wheel on? Instead of fighting the wheel..

I realized after I typed that, the axle actually goes through a hole in the caliper bracket if you watch close enough.

@@jamesmcguinness1530 could put the axle half through to support the left side. and then adjust the caliper... he was really struggling.... also get a helper

@@thomascook7976 mmm ... my worry would be that it might bend the axle rod. some bricks under the wheel will help keep things aligned. Another idea would be to remove the brake pads, and put them later after the wheel is in place. will also make pushing the piston easier, as you will have room to push it by hand.

Ive done this, however now the abs sensor hits the ring and the body of the brake assemby hits the rotor. However I dont see or have any missing spacers. After fitting new sprocket, pads and rotor.

Make sure the brake caliper is secure in the swing arm slot.

@@motorcyclemaintenancechann2131 thanks for the reply, I did, otherwise on braking the caliper would lose position. It looks as if im missing a 1mm shim ring between the spacer and caliper bracket… Only I cannot remember taking a spacer out, ill have to fight it tomorrow i guess

Thanks! I found it, my brother forgot the spacer between the biggest and the middle bearing, forcing the bearing near the caliper into the wheel and braking it. Resulting in enough space so the abs sensor and body of the brake assembly hit the rotors. Found it and fixed it, hope the abs sensor is fine… learn your lesson from this haha, check each other..

Lmk where you are having trouble. Its definitely not an easy job and helps if you have a friend that can help. Its doable by yourself but your definitely going to sweat and fight a bit with it.
