    This is just superb, been searching for "can i learn to play piano on a midi keyboard?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Penaycer Rudimentary Preponderance - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to play the piano easily minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.

That ctk 800 I check is worser volume control I don't like it's still like the lk230 with cheap quality sound you get voice will be down and also worst you are not good at finding goos keyboard so I will tell you. Thank you. I’m actually now considering the Korg EK-50 mainly because of the increased polyphony and newer mode compared to the PSR out now. Even though it’s a shorter keyboard I think it might suffice especially with our limited space. Maybe upgrade in the future to a full 88 keys if I do progress beyond my skills now.

  • @cjaquilino

    @cjaquilino

    5 жыл бұрын

    John Brian Silverio Cool. That Korg sounds great too, though it's $350 or so. For me I'm looking for a $200 or so compact digital piano, keyboard, or just a midi controller keyboard to use with an iPad/iPhone software as the sound engine/editor. Still haven't decided. But honestly, the PSR line is getting left in the dust. They just released a new one yesterday-the PSR-E 360. But it's just the same old tech in new colors. And just in general, unless you *need* a workstation or arranger type keyboard like that, it also makes sense to go the midi controller route. A lot of people do that these days. That said, personally I'm leaning toward just getting a Casio CTX700 or 800 arranger style keyboard and forgetting about those other options. It's just nice to have good onboard sounds that can be expanded by software if need be.

    At this price point, Casio is beating yamaha in many categories. Casio CTK6200 has 700 sounds that you can edit in the machine(with no app needed). The Casio has a 16+1 track sequencer that you can edit at the song, track, and event level. Casio has USB and SDHC card storage. Yamaha is a fantastic company, but they're having trouble keeping up with the market demands. Casio wins on price and functionality, and the current Casio piano sounds at the same price point sound better than Yamaha. Come on Yamaha...an app just so you can pitch bend and do basic editing? That means you have to have a compatible phone or tablet, and the camera connection kit as well. The Casio WK6600 has 76 keys, in-box editing, capable sequencing 16+1 tracks, microphone input, great effects that you can edit and store for future use. All for $299.99. When was the last time you got an Ipad or Iphone with camera connection kit for $99.99 which is the difference in price between the PSR EW300 and the Casio WK6600? And yes, the Casio includes pitch bend... built in.
