Nobody does it better than Tony @ Bonners. Fantastic demo of a really great sounding instrument. ;)

Thanks Damian!
Wow, Tony again! The way you present this instrument, i would want to buy it rightaway!!! Supergreat demo!
Really good overview of the capabilities of the piano. I haven't seen any other video that goes into this much detail. I'm shopping around for a stage piano and this really is a good demo.
Your playing is greatly improved brother. I'm proud of you.
Best presentation of this yamaha I have seen, answered all my questions.
Looks and sounds like a beast. Great presentation as ever.
Thanks you for the Wurlitzer sound ! Fanstastic ! Amazing !
Another great demo video. I love your videos and hear you playing.

Tony how many songs do you know :)? Do you play on the spot requests during gigs, for songs you only hear on spot/ at request?
Very good performance and introduction Tony ! I like it that you take your time for the sounds - you are LISTENING to the sounds. That´s exactly what I am missing at so many musicians. I am playing the Yamaha CP- 33, whichs sound really great, but I´m thinking to update with the CP-88. Cause this is a really new generation with so many features. What I don´t understand is why Yamaha didn´t integrate a simple Metronom. Greets from Germany Keyboarder ;)
Excellent content! Very useful good overview! Well done! Very nice keyboard. However still love my S90ES...
Great video. I have a CP4 and a Montage 6. Thinking about getting the CP88 to replace/augment my CP4 because of the user interface. Wish you guys were in the US. I'd buy all my gear from you! Thank you for posting.
Great video. Very helpful.
Thank you for this reivew!
good demo, thanks.
Thanks Tony. Theses look and sound great! Going for the Nord jugular 😎
Wow! Fantastic. Wonderful Yamaha Piano CP 88. Perfect Instrument. Greetings from BRZ. Thank you so much!
Hey, great video! In comparison to the P-515. Which ist better? Sound (Samples), built quality, key action,...
Great demonstration Tony, a great sounding Yamaha CP. I'm holding out for the Gary Numan Mono version as unlike you I can only play with one finger.
Great vid!
Could you do a comparison video of Kawaii MP11SE vs. Yamaha CP88?
For us amateur gigging covers band musos, they’d be onto a winner if only they’d add some decent brass samples. Is this likely? A good start would be too add those found on the cp50 or motif ex.
I want all those piano tones on a home console. The CLP 600 series doesn't sound quite this good, so I think they're using updated samples.....
Very good keyboard
I wish you had a store near me in wigan, greater manchester (north west)
Hi Tony, excellent review as usual, which one key action is your favorite between Yamaha CP4, CP88, P515, Kawai MP7 and Roland RD2000. Thanks...!
Any ideas on a suitable stand for the cp73......preferably one that has the vintage style/look like the one that goes with the korg sv1??!?!
Greetings to you .. what kind of keyboard stands are you using in this video.
très bon piano pro
You do a great job of selling that piano. What kind of speakers are you using in that demonstration?
Hello, compared to RD-800, which keybeds are better? Objectively
PS I'm not in a band , just fiddling about at home enjoying the noises I make . Thanks
What speakers would be a good match
I have a CP88 . The only speaker I have is an Alto TX208 . Through my headphones its seems ok , but its just disappointing if i listen through the speaker in the mono socket . What do I need to get that wonderful mellow grand piano sound ? . Your help appreciated .
Hi Bonners! Does the CP73 have the ability to produce a nice Hawaiian guitar sound?
Hi! A piece of advice I can't find clearly expressed anywhere is about the amplification. What do you recommend for mainly room or lounge use? I'm considering Yamaha HS8 monitors, what do you think/recommend? Thanks for your video!

I’m using iLoud micro monitors
They are updated with OS 1.50 already.
Very nice. However, on the RD-2000 up to 8 piano or other sounds can be layered, i.e. there are 8 sections instead of 3.
@pmcate2
5 жыл бұрын
I used to take the layers into account when looking for a piano, but then I thought, is there really a situation where I would need more than two layers? Maybe 3 occasionally. Once you get higher than that it’s really a gimmick.
@RayyMusik

pmac Depends on if you play in a band or solo like me. E.g,, I like to duplicate pads (far left + far right) for maximum stereo effect. And it‘s not only about layers but also splits. I have a program with 2 basses, 2 pads in the middle and a lead sound in the higher octaves.

I've heard rumors that the CP88 does not have escapement nor does it have sympathetic string resonance. Can you confirm if these two things are missing?

True
Anyone know if the CP88 has actual full wooden keys or just wooden sides on the normal plastic action (which I think the CP5 had)?

The Nord Piano 4 has an amazing CP80 sample. One of the best I've heard.
Could someone suggest a Better Sounding Speaker system to use with the Yamaha CP88 as i currently use Yamaha HS8 Speakers with my Yamaha CP4 i just play at Home.
@bonnersmusic

I would suggest trying the new CP88 through your Yamaha HS8 monitors first. The new sounds on the CP88 are fantastic and should sound even better through the HS8s. You may find that you get a better spread of sound by adding the Yamaha HS Subwoofer to the configuration.

Thanks for the info, i wonder can you add any extra Piano samples from say K-Sounds or Synthonia by putting them onto the USB Stick.@@bonnersmusic

Tony,Is the cfx sound in this different and better or worse than p515?
@bonnersmusic
5 жыл бұрын
Same raw sample, but the effects are more powerful, as is the EQ. The audio outputs are of higher quality than those on the P515 and I suspect the D/A convertors are also better, so the sound through an external amplification system is stronger.
@JitinMisra
5 жыл бұрын
That is interesting, it sounds better than p515 , like more cut through for cfx and more ringing, but on paper p515 has better specs like virtual resonance/ aliquot resonance and body resonance
@pawelsz95
5 жыл бұрын
Increase the "Brightness" parameter in P-515 and it will sound very similar to CP73/88 or Montage. The "Brightness" is just a "cutoff" parameter I think and "Harmonic Cont" is the "resonance" parameter.
@JitinMisra

@@kunleodebode i can't imagine though yamaha would use a worse sample in a clp or p series piano, than compared to cp88 /cp series piano. I will agree that cp series may have better outputs which Tony mentioned earlier, hence record differently or sound different in a live situation, but clp and flag ship p series piano is a higher end piano
@Kougeru

@@JitinMisra one reason is simply because this is newer than the clp 600 series

Stage pianos should never have big LCD screens. They make the instrument look more like a toy and you do not want to rely on a touch screen when you are changing voices at a live performance. Just look at the Nord which up until the CP88 was considered the best stage piano and you don't see any fancy screens on that. If you want a big LCD screen display, get a Kronos workstation.
i want to be a pianist, but my dreams never come true, because, i have no money to buy one of those piano, meanwhile, some have more than one
