Not my exact model, but matching instructions and executed flawlessly. No unnecessary blabbering. My Favorite video on this subject. Thanks!
Thank you very much for this. With your help, I fixed my Yamaha UK CDC645 by replacing the belt needed for opening the 5 x CD tray. By the way the 645 has a smaller shutter assembly than the 625; the 645 assembly has just two screws.

Yamaha CD players are very durable. Once you know how to change belt, they last forever. Thank you for your comments. I am also learning from your experience about 645.
Thanks for posting this! Ordered a belt and replaced as per your video!!

Thank you for your comment. In my channel, I am always trying to find the money saving solution for the most common vintage audio issues.
Looks similar to the cdc745 I have on my bench now. Just waiting for my belt to come in and should be back in business
Sir, How to redo the belts on a Fisher DAC-196? Same 5 disc, but it is a horizontal stack with a lift assembly. Thank you.
@Vintage Audio Fan - I have a CDC-565 which is still working, but needs “help” closing the tray, with a gentle nudge, so I’m going to replace the belt. One question, though - I notice you started the procedure with the tray partly extended. How did you get it in that state? Did you manually force it out, or did you leave the tray extended when it failed to close all the way on its own?

There is a certain way to pull the tray out depend on the product design (don't force it). I suggest you to read the manufacturer's service manual of Yamaha CDC-565 first. It shows how to pull and reinstall the tray on page 6 of the manual. See attached link for free manual: www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/yamaha/cdc-565.shtml

Vintage Audio Fan Thank you!
Great video. But did we need to see you unscrew the cover screws?

There are (2) screws at each side and (1) screw at back side of unit need to unscrew prior to removing the top cover.
