Awesome demo. 😎🤘🏻🎸 I own a Yamaha bb235 and it is phenomenal. I also own 2 Yamaha trbx basses and they sound killer. Anywho The Yamaha bb435 is a phenomenal bass with some impressive features. It’s suitable for any genre. Including metal. 🤘🏻🎸

@@BassAdvisor indeed it is cool. Yamaha makes such phenomenal basses. I was thinking about getting the Yamaha bb435 since I do like the Yamaha bb235. My other choice would definitely be either the Yamaha trbx605fm or a schecter stiletto stealth.

I own one of these. I've been really pleased with it. I'm looking forward to hearing your views on it too. I got myself a Harley Benton PJ75 a few years ago after seeing your review and you were spot on with everything you said. I was lucky as there were no fret issues with my PJ75. I got myself the Yamaha BB435 earlier this year and I, and my fellow band members, can notice an improvement. I find it easier to play than the Harley Benton and the J pickup is much more usable soloed too. I will keep the PJ75 with Chromes on s a backup / vintage alternative. Very happy with the BB435 as my only other bass. I'm considering putting thinner strings on the BB as the stock strings 45-130 are not lacking in bottom end. In rehearsals I'm finding I roll off a lot of bottom and some low-mid to work well in the mix.

Thanks for commenting! Well, I found the 435 very full bodied too, but a bit floppy at the same time. I'd try some hex core strings to get thinner without losing tension.

Hi Pierre! Most probably it hums. I didn’t try it much, just one gig and sold it to buy by BBP35. The bbp hums at times when the pickups are soloed and the amp is very loud and me close, so I guess the 435 too. But in general it’s nothing comparable to the Mustang I had, for example.

Thanks for the great review! What strings did you have on? I'm having a hard time telling if they were flats or rounds.

En 5 cuerdas el Yamaha sin duda. Quizás el Player Plus activo. Pero el player de entrada diría que no.

Hi! The B was excellent, actually better than the one in my Bbp35. The neck profile is quite neutral, not thin not thick. I’m picky about it and with this bass you just forget about the measures and profile.

Hi Bon! Thanks for commenting. Well, tough decision really! Or easy because you can't be wrong with either. The Sire maybe is more 70s jazz oriented, with a good fretwork, well made and cheaper than the 435. I'm a bit partial to Yamaha because they put some interesting features like the strings through body, they look classic but distinct. The sound could be a bit more flexible but not radically different. I love the upper register in the Yamaha, incredibly sweet. Both low B's are good. Now, both basses can be heavy or light, it's a lottery. My unit in the 435 was 4kg and my BBP35 is 4,75kg (they should weight about the same). This can happen with Sires too. I hope it doesn't make you doubt even more!

Son bestias diferentes. Un P7 puede ser más irregular en calidad. A priori tiene más flexibilidad y puede sonar más agresivo. El 435 suena muy musical y parte de un planteamiento infinitamente más sencillo. Ambos son grandes opciones cómo único 5 cuerdas. Lo que puedo decirte es que antes compraría a ciegas un 435 que un P7. Pero algunos P7 pueden llegar a ser excepcionales.

Hola. No he probado el 605 aunque tengo muchas ganas. Para mí estéticamente me encanta el 605, y tienes un 90% de probabilidad que sea bastante más ligero y bien balanceado. En cuanto a sonido, es lo que me queda saber.

Gracias por el video. Estoy entre este bajo o el Trbx 505. Normalmente hago shows de 3 a 5 horas, en donde tocamos desde rock, regaee, ska hasta ritmos latinos como salsa, cumbia y forro (música brasilera). Cual de estos dos me recomendarias?. Actualmente tengo un Sire V10 pero últimamente se hace algo pesado

Precisamente mañana voy a la tienda a probar el 505 e intentaré grabar un análisis. Algunos V10 son muy ligeros. Es una lotería lo del peso.

Nunca he entendido porque ese salto de precio y calidad tan potente entre BB200 y BB400 que casi en precio y calidad el BB400 es casi un BB700 pero en pasivo, creo que debería haber algo intermedio en una franja de entre los 400 y 500€ como un BB300 o algo por el estilo, aún así muy buen bajo, una quinta cuerda que me ha sorprendido por lo definida que suena, dan ganas de probarlo

Sí, quizás sí. Pero donde realmente encuentro un vacío es entre los 600 del 435 y los 1650 del P35. Ahí sí hay un salto enorme. El 735 no lo cuento porque es un 435 activo, básicamente.

@@BassAdvisor También es un salto considerable, podría haber algo entre los 1.000€ y 1.200€ que no llegase a ser tan top como el tope de gama, ahora que Fender ha sacado la gama Player Plus rondando esos precios

Hola! Perdona la tardanza. El 1005 es 35" y 24 trastes, es lo más importante y diferencial. Si no tienes manos grandes, puede ser un problema importante, ya que se te puede hacer enorme. Eso es más importante que el hecho de ser activo. Los más comparables serían el 735 y el 1005. Los tres son excelentes y suenan de maravilla, pero la elección la basaría en la escala y el número de trastes. A más trastes, más lejos te caerá el primer traste (no siempre, pero casi).

Hola! Difícil elección, ambos son igual de buenos. Con el fender tienes un tono más clásico y reconocible y con el Yamaha un tono algo más moderno y algunas soluciones técnicas como las cuerdas a través del cuerpo en 45° o el mástil de tres piezas. Lo ideal es poder probarlos los dos, no creo que haya uno superior al otro, a priori.

Qué cuerdas recomendarían para este BB435, níquel o acero inoxidable??? He usado de acero y siento que no dura mucho el brillo aunque pongo el tono al máximo

Hola! Pues más brillante que eso ya no hay nada. Puedes probar una marca que dure más como Elixir o las Cobalt de Ernie Ball. Tus otros bajos suenan brillantes en tu equipo? Que no sea cuestión del ampli...

@@BassAdvisor gracias de antemano por responder. Si, tengo un bajo activo de 4 cuerdas y le pongo la misma marca y suena muy bien, en ese bajo dura mucho el brillo al hacer slap. Por lo mismo he llegado a pensar que a lo mejor el tono del BB tiene alguna falla y por eso no da ese sonido brillante. Justo pensé en probar D'addario a ver si dura más el brillo con esa marca, o bien las Ernie Ball, esperando sea cuestión de cuerdas y no de electrónica

Todo lo contrario, es uno de los 5 cuerdas con el ancho de cejilla más corto.

Cuál de los dos te has gustado más: BB535 o el RTBX505?

Prefiero el 435, aunque es probable que en directo el 505 pueda funcionar mejor.

Entre Sire v3 o v7 este es mejor ?

A mi me gusta más este, aunque los Sire tienen más flexibilidad tonal y en ciertos momentos pueden permitirte más presencia en directo. Aunque siempre puedes usar un previo externo.

lo recomiendas para trabajar aca para los bolos?

@@BassAdvisor el mejor bajo de la historia el bbx !! Escucha daft punk ramdon acces en especial Giorgio , fragments !! Escucharlo suena tan real y resuenan real con sus armónicos graves y sin filtración en cambio otros bajos que filtran ese rugido de la naturalidad de las cuerdas graves , en cambio este bajo está tan real sus cuerdas! vibran y resuena muy hermosos !! Es tan majestuoso y temeroso.

te quedas con el BB424X (serie anterior)? O te gusta más el BB434 de esta serie? Al otro lo llamaste Bestial, y a este maravilloso :D

Hola! Pues los adjetivos no eran al tuntún! La generación anterior conservaba el punto más salvaje y agresivo de los Yamaha japoneses de los 80, y esta generación es más todo terreno. Por cierto, tengo en espera un 434 que hay en multison que virgen santa, suena y se toca que da miedo. A ver si adelanto un short este fin de semana.
