Sometimes the ragdolls go nuts and you see grunts doing impossible bounces on the ground. But I don't really care about that: if anything, it just makes the game funnier.

I think its really funny how when I first played Yakuza zero, I interpreted the reason people didn't think Kiryu did the murder was because he would never kill someone but over time I slowly realized they just meant he wouldn't murder without good reason

A popular meme in the Yakuza community is that Kiriyu has never killed anyone this meme came about because of a mistranslation thats pretty common using the word kill instead of murder. The line is supposed to be "Kiriyu isn't a murderer." But it was translated as "Kiriyu isn't a killer."

You play as Saejima on another game and he's a convicted mass murderer. Majima was down to murder the fuck out of someone to get back into the Yakuza but didn't because he felt bad for the little blind girl. Kiryu definitely kills people, he just doesn't murder people.

@@axis1247 you don't know if that guy died. Helicopter you never see the aftermath of. Saejima killed no one. Majima being fine with killing someone doesn't = killing someone. They always get stopped somehow. Atlus is one of the best localization teams in the world. Still keeping up a mistranslation from something before them? I am not acting like Kiryu has no rule against killing he never said he does. He simply doesn't. They make that shit a big point in this game even. Akiyama said he'd rather get his hands dirty because if kiryu started to kill people he would be done in kamurocho

The Helicopter exploded get over yourself. Oh yeah I forgot about the rubber bullets bullshit where to make Saejima playable for the Japanese audience they suddenly had to turn what would definitely be murder into some rubber bullet shit. By the way, rubber bullets shot at the vectors and range Saejima shot them at would still kill people, but oops. Yakuza doesn't actually give a fuck about killing people they just like leaving the suspension of disbelief so they can maintain their Japanese audience. Even though the protagonists have almost definitely killed people before. Hell what about the Nezumi guy Kiriyu kicks out of a 4th story window onto fucking concrete? But oh no we didn't see him die so no problem. Those guy Kiriyu has their heads blown up in microwaves perfectly fine. It's a mistranslation an error, it like how the fucking over 9000 line has made it into ever serialization, reserialization, translation and dub of Dragon Ball Z even though people knew damn well it was an error. It doesn't matter how good localization teams are errors get through and when they don't see it as *big* enough of a problem they don't care. To them the difference between killer and murderer is erroneous but to us fans its the difference between Kiriyu somehow having the comic book super power to make no one in his vacinity dies to to his actions and him not being a person who kills people just to kill them.

@@marvelousmehki Nah he's right, he's 52 in 2020. Kiryu was born in 1968. Saejima would be 55 in 2020 and Majima 56. Like a Dragon is set in 2018, so these guys would be a couple years younger than this.

When you get to Yakuza 4 and 5, can you mix all the characters Heat actions together in a video, one for 4 and one for 5 and maybe include the Feel the Heat as well? I know they're QTEs, but I feel they should be included.

JESUS that returning stab was totally on purpose I know Kiyu hacks and slash pepple with katanas but that was more of an item activation. Like Kiryu could go through the entire game without those but this? He purposely turns the knife and guns around back at the attackers and --kills-- hurts them _alot_

they joke about that over yagami, yagami disarms followed by him throwing the gun away, he even got the whole snake style to do this without needing heat actions, kiryu straight up donuts them

man the new engine of yakuza is really incredible, but the problem there not anymore old heat actions movements, and the unrealistic is not for see amazing tasty old blood engine, but it made me suprised/happy for see the kids of orphanage back! (and for anyone who is saying about the ragdolls physic that are "broken", but the ragdoll system was to show how powerful kiryu fists are)

In Yakuza 6 this is the first time they use the new engine, called Dragon Engine. Other series that also use this engine is Kiwami 2, Judgment and Yakuza 7.

I need to play this game again, I missed a bunch of these heat actions, I'm disappointed in myself

Uff, all that not killing left me quite wanting.

Guys help me out. I was in the final tower area and there were goons everywhere. I then executed a move where he zap between enemies and knock them each down by a single hit. Like a ninja. Did I had a fever dream? I only ever seen it once in the entire game.

Are there no heat actions like in Kiwami 2?
