All I wanna know is what hardware is compatible with the T track and no one mentions it anywhere. Please help. I don’t want to order from Yakima

I’ve had my racks for a while and I actually use them. In some places the paint is coming off. Can you paint right over that or is there something to do minor corrections?

how easy is it to adjust the height ?

Do you know if that American Work Cover keeps water out as well as the Diamondback HD cover? I love that with this one you can open it for even more room beneath whatever goes on top of the rack, something you cannot do with the Diamondback HD.

I don't know about the diamondback, but I can tell you I've been through carwashes and thunderstorms with 0 water getting in!

Now I was thinking of doing the same thing but I have a long bed which I wanted to keep my weather guard tool box and ad a retract cover right up to the tool box. Is the bed going to have leaks where the cover butts up against your tool box? For me it wouldn't be a problem because I have a Deck drawer system in the truck bed already. Thanks

have you tried that? I have the same setup and not sure I want to give up the weather guard tool box.

Can those sidebars on each side be easily and quickly removed and later added back, without causing damage if done often over time? If so, I imagine it would be great b/c I could leave them off most of the time so I can still open the Diamondback HD cover on either end, but put the sidebar back when I specifically need it. Also, do you have any experience or knowledge how much the average mpg of you vehicle might decrease if you mounted and drove with a pop up hardcover tent like say the Roofness Sparrow on top? I ask b/c it would clearly lay above the height of the cab roof. Thanks.

Only 4 screws holding the side bar in place!

The plates the bolts go in on the towers look new. I don't think the older rail system had the metal plates the bolts slide in with, which used to cause bent rails.

Yea, they fixed that problem a while back

At 6:10 during the installation your t-bolts were inserting in a long flat backing plate that slid into the t-track. Did those 4 backing plates come with the kit? The Yakama website does not show those plates.

Great video. I have a 2023 F-150 and the Yakima site says the 60" won't fit my application and the 68" is the smallest I can get? Just wanted to verify you stated the sizing correctly. thanks.

I have a 6.5 bed f150 how you much does the toolbox reduce the space I'm thinking about that one or the jr. size but the toolbox is not deep is only like 4"

The toolbox is 20" so the cover would be the length of your bed minus the toolbox if that answers your question

@@jamesrichter9974 it rides pretty much in line with the rails of the truck bed so you don't loose any height there

@@PatriotDIY I was talking about under the canister and toolbox area it’s 20 inches but I’m looking for the space between the bed floor and the bottom of the tool box
