I got two things out of this video. 1) How the photographer being able to follow this snow leopard for many square miles to get these shots. Drones? Lucky being at the right spot day after day? 2) while the leopard is at the top of the food chain in this habitat, a strong Yak at its prime is no push-over. The leopard could get injured trying to take down this Yak. Nature allows the leopard to hunt the sick and the weak easily but the strong ones stay alive to produce more strong offsprings. One of the many ingredients to survive generation after generation.

Clearly a case of the leopard having eyes that were bigger than his stomach.

@@paulibakker8880 Good argument. Indeed you are probably right and the snow leopard knew it as well. So he was stalking for a newborn calf. First I wondered why the yak laid down for a while, but the oncoming birth is the explanation.

Yak seems to be a young. The convo at the end I suppose is in Tibetan? As far as I know yaks are mostly kept by Kyrgyz, Tyvan and Tibetan people. The first two are Turkic.

Thinking same, Leopard was very interested in scents where Yak had laid. Also the way Yak had to use rear legs to kick back on to feet, Big tummy almost causing it be cast.

Soo like is that white stuff supposed to be snow??! Daamn isn't there supposed to be more like completely snowing our global warming is this bad? I see heat waves ?

I am not sure if I am wrong. This yak doesn't have horns. I thought all, male/female, have horns. I am disappointed because I wanted to see the yak goring that killer.

Hopefully you guys help the Young Yak to escape to that predator.
