💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

Thought you might be interested in this.... A majority of the world’s cultivated macadamias are grown in Hawaii, but the crunchy, creamy nuts are in fact indigenous to Australia. They all looked yummy

AND...I just realized to day, my macadamia tree is going to recover! It dried out too much or something and lost all its leaves. I live in Washington State, I have it in a pot indoors, and I'm always poking myself with the pointy, long, holly-like leaves.

@@debrarussell8056 i’m from hawaiʻi and i have memories of eating mac nuts the same way also minus the chocolate. we’d have to be told to stop or else we’d eat all the mac nuts. we have chocolate covered mac nuts here tho from the Hawaiian Host or Mauna Loa milk chocolate brands
The crunch of the cutter is so satisfying!
The pecan s’mores brittle was so good!! Something about chocolate and brittle together was just *chefs kiss*
I just love that Coop painted his nails bringing his individual style out (like his artwork) going to bring in a lot more demographic lifestyles
Fun facts, Macadamia nuts are native to Australia. They were discovered in North Queensland near the town of Bauple. They were originally called Bauple nuts. They are the most expensive nut in the world, but many Australians, like me grow one or two in their yard. I have a large one in my front yard. Macadamia ice cream is the bomb, and chocolate coated Macadamia's have been a popular chocolate snack in Australia for many, many years. If you ever come to Australia, you're welcome to pick up and eat as many from my tree as you want.
They were talking about Macademia nut cookies and how good they taste and I would agree with that. So, I was thinking, why not make the cookie dough minus the white chocolate and the macademia nuts, bake it and then break it up into pieces then combine the cookie pieces with macadamia nuts and top with with white chocolate to make bark but maybe don't use so much white chocolate leaving the cookie pieces and nuts exposed or even adding some milk chocolate on at the end because white chocolate can be a little overpowering. When Steve was talking about the macadamia nut cookies it reminded me just how good they taste and if you could replicate that in a bark, WOW it would be so good!
I’ll will now forever look at the packet and read it as “Maca-Damian” nuts! Thanks for that Steve.

My mouth is watering. Yum! I enjoy watching you all. The laughter, family n friends working together, and the love makes the product one everyone wants and needs! Fun to watch
We had a Macadamia tree out the back yard. Every year soo many Macadamia nuts, yum. And Australia grows them good.
Such Great Chemistry and An Awsome Vibe Between Everyone in this Video. Steve is such a Jewel!! GODBLESS THIS FAMILY, EMPLOYEES AND ALL HERCULES FRIENDS
Love all the new product ideas. It's fun with how engaged Cooper, Greg, and Leah are with the business. Their enthusiasm is funtastic. I hope they stick around for the long haul. What assets they are from a viewer's perspective.
I lived in Hawaii for 3 years. Most commonly saw milk chocolate Macadamia nut clusters.
I love how Cooper just feels like part of the family now. Also, Hawaiian nuts? They are indigenous to Australia!

@@HerculesCandy Yes, they are grown in Hawaii and have been for quite some time now. In fact, the first Macadamia Nut Trees were transplanted in Hawaii, from Australia, back in the 1800s. While most Americans know them as being a nut from Hawaii, they remain an Australian nut, simply grown in Hawaii, of course. It's no different to Pecan Nuts grown in Australia.
I must say, that particular batch looked so darn delicious its not even 😁 funny…YUM!
You should re-create a Reggie Jackson candy bar. Those things were dope!
Oh man! That sounds and looks SO good!
Will be there either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Can't wait to visit and buy candy and clothing.
I was introduced to Macadamia covered in milk and dark chocolates long before Subway ever introduced the white chocolate cookie...I prefer them covered in dark chocolate with cherries.
I’ve made macadamia nut and unsweetened coconut clusters at home but I chop the nuts.

Hello how are you doing?
When I put chocolate on my Virginia Peanuts and peanut brittle, I drop a few pieces into my chocolate and use chopsticks to take the individual pieces out and place on parchment paper to harden. I have developed the ability to do this very quickly and effortlessly. Thank you all for your videos!
Wow. Everything looks amazing 🤩
I want to order this so bad but I live in SE Texas and even w/ the ice packs I know it’s going to melt
Hi, something new you could try is chocolate covered Buderim Ginger they pair well with macedamias. If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast visit the Ginger factory at Yandina.
Coop (?) why don't you place the trays on the left side so you have more control over the lay down of the cluster. Since your left handed you don't have to reach over your body. Saves time and you can do it faster. Just a thought. BTW impressed you picked up EVERYTHING so fast. Good Job!

if you notice, Steve is also reaching "across his body"-ish bc his tray is on the left bc the big kettle of choc is on his right (he is a righty). So Coop is set up mirror image as a lefty.
I have made Cookies with dark and white chocolate chips with macadamia nuts for 40 years now. :-) They are one of my favorite cookies.
Watching the s’mores bark while popping a piece I bought last week into my mouth. Yummm
Would it be helpful on those long bark cuts on the two sided table, for two experienced candy makers each take a table side and a cutter handle to make only the long cuts a 2-person job?
i literally look forward to these videos EVERY day!!

Macadamia nuts have the hardest shells of any nut. Amazing flavor. White chocolate compliments the nut perfectly. I bet a crazin/walnut cluster would be delishious.
Coop needs to put the tray on his left…

As someone who hates marshmallows and has never cared for s'mores, I don't understand that love. The clusters though, those sound amazing. I am a dark chocolate person, but white chocolate macadamia clusters are very tempting. Oooooooo! Pine nut in chocolate!
Binge watching your Ch. And now i feel like baking white chocolate & dark chocolate macadamia cookies😋💟
Ooooh! Yum! Macadamia Nuts are my favourite! Follower by Hazelnut! ❤️❤️
Wow...how time has flown by.I remember going there in the mid 70s when we kids would be at the counter in the basement I think getting free samples.

Macadamia nut covered in caramel chocolate😋😋😋❤️! At least you don’t have to shell the nuts😂😂😂
I really wish you would post to Australia as I love macadamia nuts 💜🇦🇺
I love macadamia nuts. Being Australian (the nut is native to Australia) I grew up eating them. Yummy.
Oh my are you guys hiring?!!!!!!!😊😊😊❤️such nice folks!!! And wonderful candy!!! God Bless!!!

I bet a macadamia nut bark with coconut and white chocolate would be awesome. Maybe even add some pineapple flavor hard candy.
Trix rice crispy bars and white chocolate creme bottom.. or lucky charms would be amazing.
Yea!!!! Coop is making yummy bark!! WTG Cooper. :) I tried to order some the 1st round, but it sold out. Now, it's really warm in CA .... don't think we can get it shipped to us now. :( "We's always together....." lol cute. lol
Not to take away anything from anyone, I think as for the technique it mostly muscle memory. However, from the idea, to the making of the candy is individual intelligence and talent. That’s how you make delicious candy for the masses to enjoy. That’s how and why you have succeeded. Best to you all.
smores bark should probably be running full time...waiting for it to be in stock so i can try some :)
In Hawaii , milk choc. Is the big thing. They sell them like gift boxes choc. For People to take or Mail home.I think They grow the nuts there. It's a big thing there.😊
Omgosh Australia is one of the biggest growers of Macadamia nuts for centuries yummy roasted and salted are the best!!
Never had a problem saying macadamia...now I am saying it wrong ..great video!
I wish I saw this sooner! I totally missed out on this and the brittle🥺😢
Thank you thank you thank you! Macadamian nuts are my favourite 😍. I bake Macadamia white chocolate blondies, which are delicious. If I ever wished for a plane ticket to the US I do right now. Where is your nearest airport? Love you guys x x x

Search Bulbous Bouffant by the Firesign theatre. You'll never have trouble pronouncing Macadamia again
Lol I used to be a candy maker for a little place here where I live.. its called Oliver's candies and I believe we've made the same nut clusters
Interesting since Hawaii has been doing chocolate macadamia nuts for a very long time.
I think in the clusters the macadamia nuts would be better chopped up, just my extensive research. Also cherry cordials get juicier the longer you wait for them to cure, not sure if they were made in the same way though.
I know anime goes over practically everyone's head at the candy shop, but if possible, once, I'd like Greg to make a chocolate from one of his favourite animes.

Hey Steve … where the Mac’s are larger could you not run them thru the automatic machine where you do the creams?
Nice chocolate clusters. Maybe try crushing the macadamia nuts a tad bit?
Macadamia my favorite nut of all time.😋 I'm willing to move to Hawaii so I could eat them every day.
steve what do you think? silently thinking.... coopers doing my favorite job!!

Watching again from Montana 😁
I love Macadamia nuts (my 2nd fav after Cashews). I love dark chocolate and somewhat tolerate milk, I don't like white chocolate at all. The problem with dark chocolate is the % of cocoa solids is so variable that many consider it 'dark' if it's over 45% but my fav is around 80% (I prefer choc not so sweet). Since I live in Australia (home of the Macadamia nut) I can't order anything from Hercules so will have to make it myself someday.
