I do too! I received my July OwlCrate box on Saturday...and I'm halfway thru the book... I'm really loving it! The bonus items are small...yet they are beautiful and such good quality! Love you sharing your thoughts in each of your videos. Enjoy your day!🩵

It looks really good! I am, to be honest, a bit disappointed that it is not the first book in this world (I was lucky enough to buy the first book secondhand). Good to know is that the 'first' book reads very fast and is very amusing (witty main character). But I also think that it will add to the sister dynamic which is spoken of in the synopsis of this 'second' book. And thus my point is that you can read this probably seperatly but you don't get the full experience. Loved the overall box!

this was such a great box! I'm not much for items but these were a good mix of useful stuff! But what do you mean people are over bookends 🥺 I love bookends! lol. As for the book it's so pretty! I'm a sucker for purple and for once I actually liked the character art.

Ah I’m glad that you love the bookends too! Most of the other people who unbox Fairyloot and Illumicrate on KZread seem disappointed as they have enough of them by now; but I’m in the same boat as you…. Give me all of the beautiful bookends 🥰🥰🥰 Glad that you liked this box and book too x

I think I like the reversed cover more! Endpapers are really nice. I couldn't really get into the first book. The main character was annoying from the very first page, and I just didn't continue past the first chapter.

I loved this box! Scrunchie is gorgeous and useful, bottle is useful, I love the bookmarks as I’ve just finished reading book 4 in the Shatter me series and enjoyed it! I was annoyed about bookends until I realised they were ACOTAR and now I’m happy! Me and my oldest kiddo are going to learn and make the embroidery kits for part of our home Ed so that will be fun too! I really want to turn the book sleeve inside out, but there is no title on the spine what is putting me off!! I’m just about to start reading this book too as trying to sneak one more book into June and it looks like a shortie! Hope you’re well! Xx

With the book because of the colour change I think the foiling would have been better in silver, very beautiful book though. The gold suits original colour better. Really really like how this looks though. Fairyloot have smashed it for this month.

I’m with you on the alternate cover, it falls very flat. Naked hardcover is nice, endpapers are done well. They really have done a great job

It was a great box for the items 🥰

one thing that bothers me with the artwork is that both the spoiler card AND the bookmark AND the tarot cards AND the reversible dust jacket depict the female protagonist as a dark-skinned WOC, but the interior illustrations depict the female protagonist as fair-skinned/white. it's like the different artist for the interiors whitewashed the female lead when all the other artists seemed to be on the same page. this sucks bc the only illustration thats completely attached to the book itself is the whitewashed images.

Maybe it's issue with the printing? I mean, in the video, it kind of looks like the interior images have a bit "washed down" colour, so maybe it wasn't intentional whitewashing? It would be weird if they approved art that doesn't fit all the others.

@@Akuliszi well, the other clue you can spot is the texture of the hair. the spoiler card, bookmark, tarot card, and reversible jacket has a hair texture with tighter curls. meanwhile, the interior illustrations AND the hardcover foil has looser wavy hair. im not saying that the artist of those images intentionally whitewashed, i think it's on whoever was in charge of the art director not informing the artist of the correct character physical features.

I noticed that they all looked different but didn’t focus in on their skin colour; this is SO bad! Even if the artists don’t have the time of opportunity to read the book they should be briefed specifically about the look of the character. I would hope that Fairyloot would have noticed this before agreeing to the artwork 😔

the book is very pretty but it looked like the characters are all a bit different of an art style
