You need a pair of weaker steering tie rods. 74Weld make billet steering racks for Bronco to handle 40" tires.

Racks are a pain, i remember when i did mine in my RA Rodeo, was a lot easier to change than the Y62’s though and i was wondering about extra clamping force aswell and they do make kits like the one you mocked up and tie rod braces aswell which are good for the 33’s. Too bad Nissan doesn’t over engineer stuff as much as they did on the Y61

Might be time for a solid axle swap rear with a even bigger legal gvm upgrade? What about a bigger steering rack and front end upgrade chrome Molly front axle set up cv?

cv, s are bs.. you need d60 front rear diffs..with rcv front axles,,never break them,,maybe watch some u.s. vids,,not this bs..

@@harrywalker968 Yeah you might be right are they a jeep diff semi floating set up? The worst thing is try and buy a decent new American truck in aus for under 220 grand once it’s right hand converted good luck. We don’t get much to pick from that lasts in aus and we are always right up on our gvm in any Ute or wagon that tows plus all our parking and tracks are not made for American vehicles at all not made for 4wds really. But that may be a sweet swap if it can be done wonder if they have done this in the armada in the us solid axle diff swap? Heck Toyota don’t even send a 79 to aus that has the same size rear wheel track as the front what a Stupid set up that is.

having big rubber bushings one end and mounted solid steel on steel the other will make it fight against each other, it's a shame that you couldn't have the same bushed mount on the other end. something to think about mate. it's a pore design by Nissan having a fixed mount one end.

I do it because I roof tiled for years and didn't want to wear a bucket or straw hat. My uncle had the tops of his ears removed from cancers so that's my only reason.

toyotas lost the plot between the 60 & 80 series. plus nissan diffs stronger.. i buy yank 4x4rs, cos they work..not jeep. the 79 series is a junk pile..garbage..
