Dave Meniketti is crazy talented. I first saw Y&T at a small club in LA in the early 1980s.

One of the most underrated bands in history. Just as great as Motley Crue or any of the bands from their era. Criminally underrated. They were the first metal band I ever saw live in 1987 when I was 12. It was a small show at a stage set up next to some restaurant with only like 2k people there. Fun fact, Guns N Roses opened the show, when hardly anyone knew who they were, and got booed off stage after 3 songs because Axl was drunk. Ace Frehley went on and then Y&T. Will always love Y&T
Finally.....recognition for the Bay Area boys!!!! And they still rock after all these years....
I miss and love you Uncle Phil. I hope you, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Jeff, David, Paul and now Butch are reunited in heaven smiling. Lord knows I love you all and God only knows how much I would have loved to narrated this documentary if I'd known or been reached out to for it. At least put my golden voice to use! lol. But truthfully, I'm just glad to hear someone is sharing this story. Your nephew, with love always & FOREVER, Steven Blaser PS: For the fans wondering, I'm his ONLY sisters first born and only son. The last name belongs to my father obviously. 👊😎
Yesterday & Today, Skylight Warehouse, Santa Clara, Ca. 1976. Never better than this. Raw, Rock, Forever! Joey, Phil, Dave, Leonard...Rest In Peace

Y&T rockin my Life since early in the 80!!!Y&T until the end of my Life!!!Forever!!!!
True story…..I grew up in Santa Rosa CA. As a little kid from 5 years old my cousin and I discovered many rock albums. I was lucky to grow up in a time and place (80s Bay Area) that was magic for music. When I heard the Black Tiger album I was hooked. So one day while still in Jr High in early 1986 , my friend found out Y and T we’re doing a show at a little club called the Cotati Caberet. It was a pretty small venue. I begged my dad to take us and it worked. This was the original line up with the original drummer. Maybe one of his last shows. There literally were only 30 or 40 people in the whole damn place. Weeknight. Small town. That band melted faces and still to this day was one of the best shows I ever saw. I’ve now seen everybody. I’ve toured the world in my own band. That group in their prime was as good as any I have ever witnessed. And show me a guy that could sing and play lead and write songs as good. Hendrix. Name another -I’ll wait. RIP the rest of the original line up I saw that night. The energy is still in my veins. That performance…..Influenced me massively.

Amazing Bro, but what is the name of your band if you don't mind?
Took my 17 yr old son to see them in 2018,Was curious how he would react to them,Didn't take long when he started headbanging with his fist in the air,So happy to share the most underrated unappreciated Rock band in music history,Name a lead singer that can smoke alot of guitar players with his playing and you'll get Dave Meniketti
"...the band that just won't quit..." Thank whatever you find holy for that!!! Y&T!!! Y&T!!!Y&T!!! Cannot WAIT to see this.
Criminally under rated band. First time I even heard of Y&T was when I saw them live. They opened for Frehleys Comet when Ace brought his solo act to my city. I grew up worshipping Ace and was so excited to see him live. It was a sad teenager who left the show that night after witnessing his hero get absolutely blown off the stage by Y&T. Have loved them since.
I'm going to see them tonight at the grey Eagle in Asheville N C 2020
It's about time ( FINALLY!!! ) for these guys to get worlwide recognition!!! I will always have a place in my heart for Y & T. Outstanding band, on record and live in concert. #Legends

One of the best live show s ever
Love me some Dave Meniketti - so tragic with the other iconic members. Very glad this documentary is coming out. RIP Leonard. RIP Phil. RIP Joey. They're still out their grinding with the current line-up and I catch 'em whenever they roll through the Chicago area. Y&T Forever!!!!
Was lucky enough to see them at the end of January before all hell broke lose and all my concerts were postponed and then eventually cancelled. Let’s all hope the deaths stop and we can get back to the bars and arenas as soon as possible to ROCK!!!
Dave and the boys were truly amazing.. glad Dave is still rocking. Keystone Palo Alto, opened for them as a young, very young teen.. They schooled us hard. Lol.
Unsung heroes of the '80s
I'm 63yrs old, and these guys played at one of my high-school dances. That was Monta Vista High-school, Cupertino, Ca. This was when they were going by, Yesterday And Today. And they rocked the house. I went right out and bought their album. A few years later, I watched them perform a couple of times at one of my favorite nightclubs. Those were some great times indeed.
Forever fan!
Saw Y&T’s LA debut at the Starwood with Journey and was an instant fan. Leonard’s foot of doom made him an overnight legend. Saw their Starwood show with Van Halen shortly before Templeman signed them. Glory daze, purple Haze!

I was there at The Starwood too, just after the release of the Struck Down album, and they just kicked ass and melted the packed house.
Greatest band of all time
Their music played a big part in getting me through some tough times. Thanks, Y&T!! See you again in Nashville.
Proud of my bud Vanderhule. This looks excellent. Can't wait to see.
I need like 8 more accounts to properly like this video. Can't wait for the doc. Thank you Y&T!
Y&T Forever ;)
I grew up in the Bay Area and was fortunate to see Y&T many times in the 80s and 90s - one of my FAVORITE bands! So much
!!!YES!!! FINALLY!!!
I grew up in the east bay, these guys were legendary. Saw them a few times, but once at the Omni, then next week at the Kaiser convention center. Two totally different venues, two awesome shows.
FINALLY....BEST BAND to hit the stage
The most underrated hard rock band of the 80's.

I get what you’re saying, but just know that most Y&T fans don’t like that title. To most it implies that they’re just better than most perceived them to be. When true fans know that they were one of the best heavy metal bands of all time, but just not well known for some bizarre reason. Personally, I have them in my Top 5 bands, with Dio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and the Scorpions.

Have been a big fan since the very beginning of their career way back in the 70’s. Saw them a few times playing live and had the opportunity to meet Dave after a show in Hermosa Beach, California. One of the Best Hard Rock bands EVER...FOREVER!

just one of the most overlooked bands in history. Songs like Forever, Lonely Side of Town and Mean Streak are just flat out all time classics. Some of the best songs ever written.
Congrats! Much love to you all. Thank you for the music and your friendship.
Love watching this documentary from my all time favorite band !!
"FACE MELTER" IS WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE ONE OF THEIR BEST!✌❤🤘
Loved them back in the 80’s and 90’s , and I’m still listening to them today. They still make great albums. 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
TRUE AMERICAN treasure!!
One of the absolute best live shows you will ever experience 🤘🏻
I saw the band live 09. November 1982 in Cologne as support for AC/DC. What a powerfull show! AC/DC had to fight this day because Y&T stole them the show. I was flashed and next day I went to the record shop and bought the Black Tiger album. Since this day I am a fan and supporter of the band. Keep on rockin'. Hope to see you soon here in Germany🎸

that's whetted the appetite, can't wait for the release of the full documentary.
A major contributor to the soundtrack of my life……. Brings back many memories like it was yesterday…… forever fan!
I show this documentary and it was awesome
I saw these guys on a bill with King Kobra and Keel in 84, I think. They seemed like one of those in between musical era bands, like Loverboy, that couldn't make the transition when Rock went hair metal. Interesting they've surfed that middling 'never quite made it' wave for so long. Good for them.
Ohhh Yes!!
Really looking forward to seeing this. I've been a fan since the very first album "Yesterday & Today" which is my absolute favorite, being a drummer I was completely blown away by Leonard Haze, a mindblower album. 40 years later I had the honor twice to share the stage. God bless Dave for keeping the music alive.

Leonard was the backbone on drums. Joey was the high energy Metal-Kid in the band. Phil was the Rock-Star gentleman playing some kick-ass bass runs. Dave gave us the Guitar-Hero high which fueled our own Rock-N-Roll teenage dreams. We shall always love these guys for delivering the Power & Glory through their music. Forever
I've been lucky enough to have seen Y&T several times and even luckier that there will be a doc of one of the greatest bands ever!!! Can't wait to see it.

@@Eelgram saw the Holy Diver tour too, but Dio was warmup for Aerosmith. Who he absolutely put to shame BTW! I guess it didn’t take Ronnie too long to realize that people were going to Aerosmith to just to see him!
I've got thousands of albums by hundreds of bands and heard equally the same amount of lead guitarists and there is absolutely no doubt for me that the best on the six string is Dave Meniketti, coupled with the fact he is also the ultimate Hard Rock vocalist too makes me wonder why I even bothered to buy any other album than Y&T's stuff.

I first saw them when they were Yesterday & Today maybe in 1976 at a small club in Sausalito, CA. The 2nd time was after the release of Meanstreak at the Old Waldorf club in San Francisco. What a truly incredible rock & roll band. It's such a shame that the record companies never knew what to do with them.
Y&T could not be any more convinced than they are that we rockers wanted embrace them. They were wrong.
