+Wrongslide Now I never met Mori Sensei, but I've met a few high rank Senseis and they all said the same to me: Dan degree is recognition, but that's the least important part in being a martial arts master - constant improving of your technique is the most important part, even if the recognition never comes... a 6th Dan told me this and comparing him to some 8th Dan I've met is ridiculous... some people center themselves on recognition and Dan, even if their technique is rubbish. The way I see it, Mori sensei is concerned in improving, not to be recognized or having his ego boosted, but I never met the man

@@ruialmeida818 agree with you, I used white belt in 4 years. I alway practice a basic technique since I feel it enough and change another. Now, I think it’s so easy to practice the high techniques

Yoshinkan do things differently they are more oriented toward offensive aiki as opposed to defensive. However I see nothing wrong with the video. Shihan is explaining technique, not training in super powers, simply informing students of where power is generated and how one uses uke's own body against them. All you arm chair fighters need to peer a little closer to the screen and see past your own ego's. It also seems to me that just because he is 7th dan, you all expect him to be God like, it means nothing. There is no end rank in Aiki, Tenth is about the maximun anyone has ever been ranked, but that is not the end of the system. Shihan means he is simply an accomplished instructor. A 7th dan aikidoka and a 7th dan aikido shihan are not the same. The former is more likely better at the actual art, while the latter is better at teaching the art.

+Steve McGovern i agree very much. this is base knowledge instruction from which you can use in all yoshinkan moves. as a student i am very impressed with his technique and even more with his method of teaching. Osu ( to the heart)

OKLa but I have to say: "It's not as easy as it looks". A slight woman seriously doing it with a man, is at least doubtful.
