Many times the order should be adjusted, or there are no fit words so we should use several words to translate one word. For example, in the Doujin song of Genshin Impact “Let the Wind Tell You”, it is difficult to translate the words of Xiao into English.

I just saw this, but to answer your question... there are NO tones in singing Chinese😂 Since tones are inherently pitched and singing is also pitched, your can't have both. So to understand singing in Chinese, you sometimes have to guess to deduce the meaning. The phrasing in songs also makes it easy to guess meaning even though there aren't tones. (Ex. the first syllable of a word tends to land on the downbeat)
