4:28 I have the F-415FM, and it’s a beast of a bass for my blackened thrash, as well as my blackened deathcore projects. I love it because it’s edgy enough to be Metal, but not edgy enough to where it’s uncomfortable, like my BCRich Warlock was. Plus, the specs are dope AF! 35” scale, Neck-thru, EMG soapbars & preamp, a nice bridge that can accommodate larger strings(.160 for my low G). But, to each their own.😉👍🤘

I have an LTD F-415FM, and I absolutely love it. * The shape is just angry enough to NOT be a generic Fender body. * The pointy headstock actually matches the pointy body, so it actually works with the F series. * The headstock also is the same colour and finish as the body. Every single one of my guitars has a matching headstock, so I am all about that. * The tail is similar to a Hip Shot string-thru, so I am all about that. * The grover tuners are rock-solid. It simply does not go out of tune. * it is a 35-inch scale, so I can tune it to Drop A, and it will keep proper string tension. I wish more 5-strings could be a 35-inch. Sadly, most 5-strings are 34-inches. * The neck simply does not warp. From the day I bought it, I have never even once adjusted the trus rod, and that is considering all the live shows it has seen, all of the weather differences that entails, all the kilometres on the road, and the neck has not moved. Really, the one and only change I would make is to take off the gloss from the back of the neck, and shoot it satin. Other than that, the F-415FM is perfect. As I said, I absolutely love it.

Just found your channel... love it so far, but your love for Jazz and p-basses escapes me. I play a heavily modded Ibanez Gio Six and five string basses. after 40+ yrs of playing, found my brand... but never understood the love for fenders. Iconic looking, yes but no matter what, they sound like a Fender. People say how versatile they are... no matter what you do to them it sounds like a Fender. I had so many fenders given to me over the years, and I own p-basses at the moment (1983 and 88 respectively) that I do not use - I keep them because of who gave them to me, but for my sound and style... nah. Just not for me, I guess. Agreeing with you or not, like the channel. Keep rocking the low end Daryl 'JD' Adolph Bassist for Bastard Black and Cyanide Lullaby.

Small note in the Dean Demonator. The body shape is basically a reversed version of a model from a series they made in the 80s called "Hollywood" The only differences besides being reversed is the center is raised/thicker than the "wings" like on a Gibson Thunderbird and the curve going to the longer horn is pointier. The Hollywood line is basically unknown and maybe 5 total are for sale on the big sites Reverb and Ebay.

Yep. The sire headstock is horrendous. I have now bought two sires despite saying they are the ugliest thing I have ever seen. The P7 I got is the nicest sounding, playing, feeling bass I have ever played and I have had 2K Stingrays, Gibson Thunderbirds (admittedly not a user friendly one) and I have had two fender P basses. I keep getting upset every time I catch sight of my headstock in the mirror but, admittedly, after about 7 months now I am starting to not only, not hate it so much, but actually think its OK. I think we have grown up with Fender headstocks so our eyes are used to that so it takes a while. Admittedly it still doesn't look quite right with the fender copy bodies but still. The basses are better than any others I have EVER played in 20 years so I am willing to overlook this.

They also force you to play more precisely and less goofing it. A bass needs to be heard, that's what some Jackson and ESP basses you commented like a 24yo girl do, man... Dull sounds are ok for slow heroine blues..... Check out the girl from the Brazilian band Nervosa and be shocked

My Yamaha SBV 500 bass sounds and plays better than my USA Fender Jazz Bass Adam Clayton autograph model. The "Flying Samurai" SBV 500 is my favorite bass in my collection! It does have some neck dive I will admit.

Argh, my eyes! I actually have a love/hate relationship with the Marcus Miller M-series basses. They're super comfortable and lightweight (I have an M2 5-string tuned E-C that's my lightest bass) but that isn't a pretty shape at all, and TOO MANY KNOBS!!!

If you're a lefty and want a explorer you could put the strap button on the neck and use the rex brown one to look normal aha

Is ot wrong to care about looks... All I care about is the sound... I'm getting an epiphone sl, of which has very mixed reviews. I had my mind stuck on the bad side... And still do (kinda) anyways its a hit or miss on it... I hope its better than expectations

I feel what your saying about the reversed LTD headstock at 4:10 Although the first time I saw that headstock it was already reversed and hated it and then I saw the normal and loved it lol.

I'm very particular about headstocks, to the point that I would seriously consider just taking a saw to that Sire headstock to round it out. Just horrid, every squared-off "technically it's not the Fender" headstock makes me hate the bass it's attached to.

I agree that the rex brown bass does look like a reverse explorer bass. I like explorer basses, but this one is a major pass for me. I don't like single cut basses either. I always thought they look odd. I remember seeing the dearmond ashbory at musician's friend a couple years ago. I thought that was a strange looking bass. the body looks like a headstock.

Don't know why but that last bass looks like something Harry Potter would use in a game of Quidditch.
