@@lostinmusik Passion, that's the right word! Passion for all the amazing music of the 80s. Anyway, I'd prefer to make my own music, which requires a lot more patience and determination, but I can tell you that this kind of musical experiments are very funny!

As a tormented soul with a dark past, I keep coming back to this mix of yours because it speaks to many of the existential experiences that are perpetuated towards innocent people. “I hope I live to tell” is such a powerful and guttural lyric to me and speaks volumes about the danger some people are in. So to anyone listening to this song and have got this far in my comment, I hope you fight for yourself and find some peace. There are many people out there who’ve been through Hell and have found the courage to live a fulfilling life. They may not have been through what you’ve been through, but they understanding the burden. And thanks again matt one. This is easy my favorite mix and I can say I’ve listen to this dozens of times! More so that Running Up the Hill! 😂

Thanks again for your words of appreciation! Of course, all our praises go to the original authors of the lyrics and the beautiful music, I've only put them together.... I think we all have our burdens to carry and our battles to fight. And so much to tell, in this age when it seems there are certain things you can't tell. The song also says "A man can tell a thousand lies". That's the whole point : man's lies. There's a lot of people at levels above who claim they care about us, people who claim "This is for your own good!", actually making our lives even heavier than they already are. They are simply lying and we don't need them. Let us live and let us tell!

The lies lyric is so very true and we can take it one step forward philosophically: it’s the lies people tell themselves as a way to justify their bad behavior and flawed epistemologies that is the bigger issue. I know that I slip into this issue so I’m not without my own flaws and issues. But there are so many people in places of power and privilege, wethers that’s a parent or a governmental official, that they destroy others justify their nonsense through lies and manipulation. So many are unaware they do this and so many people allow this behavior; it breaks my heart. I guess the best we can do is acknowledge our own flaws, address the and try not to become a victim of those who mean to do harm. I am laughing a little bit because this is the type of pontificating I do when I’ve had a few stiff drinks…YET I HAVEN’T HAD ANY ALCOHOL IN DAYS! 😂😂 I guess it is 4am and I’m tired so maybe I get this way when I’m also exhausted.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ 😂 I try not to go on like this in the comment section because I’d rather be positive so your forgiveness please!

@@matt_oneI started listening to this for (probably) the tenth time this morning as I have my coffee. Then I noticed it’s @9 minutes long. So…10 multiplied by 9 = an hour and a half that I’ve spent listening to this. I’m serious when I say this is one of my favorites! Such a good moody piece….I just need a cold rain to start falling. 😆😆

hm, the band has 40 years now and I listen them since I've got 15, so many of my favorite songs are like you among the firsts : A day, Louise, Back Door, 7th Time... I guess my favorite is Cry In The Wind. Among the "lasts" (post Phoenix-Metamorphosis period) : Something Wrong and She (She Past Away remix). They are on turn across Western Europe this end year. @@matt_one

I discovered them in 1986, thanks to "A Day" video on a tv music channel. Then they released "Medusa", their masterpiece, and I bought it on vinyl, together with their first album. Then their sound changed, ranging from pop to house, to electro EBM... I didn't listen too much to their latest releases except "Limbo", which is really good. I love She Past Away! Have you ever listened to Asylum Party? They were a late 80s French band. Sometimes their sound is very similar to COX sound.
