Good one - sometimes it's a basic issue! I have multiple Midnite Classics and one sunny afternoon, #1 started dropping to 50% pv power compared to the others. I'm running around checking panels, combiner box, and going crazy to find what's wrong with the panels! Well - the battery was nearing full (didn't even think to check) and that Midnite entered float a little stronger than the others. Nothing wrong at all :)

I had the exact same issue with a reliable only the positive terminal. Not quite that lose but enough to cause a weak output. It was a 24v 4000w split phase.

Yes, I always check inverters when I buy them

Gotta love the easy ones. Trying to sort out a 240 volt inverter for my daughters deep well pump it is a small one only 4 gpm but they all have the surge problem I think the LRA is 33 amps, don't know how long it takes to start, I am thinking 3 seconds. If I remember right you said the new split phase reliable would not start your well pump. I know my 4024 Magnasine would start it but I still need it lol.

that about the 48v well pumps, I have been looking into moving over to one of those, no inverter needed and not surging lights. lots on amazon. also about the price of a inverter unless its a deep well then id just get a 6000w genetry or magna lol I think the 3000w reliable might start it but not sure. also you can get a soft start for your well.

Loctite it so it doesn't loosen again.
