This is an even game... Balance couldve been to either one. I wouldn't know who would prevail till the last minute. This world has just discovered Francisca from this game!

True, I met a japaness amateur league player, after watch this match, he was saying something like 'this game represents passion and dream of TT players' and he will get a copy of it to study afterward. I mean, I'm not a player at all, but the fact I can even feel a little of what he's trying to state out there. The last two sets are beautiful game, both side keeps pushing the other one to their limits and stay positive, that side edge ball at 9-9 was wonderful sportsmanship form both of them. GREAT GAME

Everything to time.... match was incredible. I think large fragments of the game was better Patrick F. But XX finally was able to win this game. I'm very proud of German player. He improved a lot.

Franziska's forehand smash is bloody powerfull and fast if Xu Xin's forehand is slower and spinnier

Franziska should learn to using his forehand more active. His backhand is wonderful but forehand isn’t like that. If he get it he can be #1

Xu Xin said exactly that in an Interview. He was good in shape but couldn't be helped that many balls where beyond his limits.

John Yeo you know I can win a match with 11:9 11:9 11:9 11:9, and you can take 11:1, 11:2, 11:3 games but anyway lose a match. So it’s 50 points of winners and 69 points of losers

Xu Xin has a mentality of entertaining that gave him such incredible comeback.

Franziska had an outstanding tournament. When the match was on the line, the XUperstar kept calm and just had something extra to move ahead. Credit to both players.

70% of the world is covered by water The rest is covered by xu xin.. Amazing game by both and props to franziska for a world class performance

This is just unbelievable. Great performances by both players.

This mat Left me sitting on the edge of my seat biting my fingernails. And when XX won that match, I jumped up in relief. Crazy match and patrick played extremely well and his win over fzd was probably not a fluke

I don't understand why XX pushed almost every short service from Franziska back instead of attacking it with his rpb flick. Normally he attacks much more with his over the table backhand flick

My lord. This was glorious, thank you for showing me the match of the year. I so wish i could go to one of these events live and watch the masters at work. Xu xing is so good at everything, i have to rewatch like six times just to watch the subtle movements and understand the spin.

Xu Xin has never suffered so much FH counterattack blast in a single match. Franziska shows a textbook on how to deal with the most intimidating topspin in the world, and he is the most progressive player in 2019.

I read all other comments just to reach at this one. That is exactly what troubled Xu Xin much and I was pretty sure that Franziska will win, but Xu Xin is mentally so so strong that he kept believing in his topspins and reduced the height of his topspins , which became tough to counter for Franziska, moreover Xu Xin started to play touch shots more often rather than just picking up the ball first until or unless he was able to hit a hard topspin first.

amazing match, fantastic tournament. beaten FZD, mister falk and very close against XX! forced the number one in the world into the decider, having a matchpoint. im very proud the be a part of Franziskas team!!

5 minutes of play even after 6 sets... man I knew I was in for some good stuff. But this was like a final match tbh. Both players displayed top notch level of skills. My stomach was upset earlier but now I am feeling better thanks to this game
