旋盤とリューターを使って玉を作る治具です。
よく動画などでホールソーと組み合わせて加工してるのをよく見かけますが、あれだとホールソーの径に依存するのでサイズが固定されてしまいます。大きな球体の加工も現実的ではありません。
この治具は直径20ミリぐらいから160ミリぐらいまで加工できます。ただ小さなビットを使うので時間と手間がかかります。
以前、視聴者様からいただいたコメントがこの治具を作るきっかけとなりました。
This is a jig for making balls using a lathe and a rheuter.
You often see them machined in combination with a hole saw in videos, but that depends on the diameter of the hole saw, so the size is fixed. It is not realistic to process large spheres.
This jig can process holesaws with diameters ranging from 20 mm to 160 mm. However, it is time consuming and labor intensive because it uses small bits.
A comment we received from a viewer in the past inspired us to create this jig.
