Impressive laser Gord and now you will have choices as to which one to use when you have a project! I am very impressed with the job it did of cutting that 1/4 in plywood and the lovely ornaments that were created, looks just like a scroll saw only much more exact! Well done and thanks! Cheers Al

XTool D1 Laser and was very happy with it until I watched your video, you see I purchased the 10w and you reviewed the 20w, I am jealous. If I had seen your video before I purchased the 10w I would have purchased the 20w. Seriously your videos are great, I am not disappointed with your video, but disappointed i bought my 10w before your review. I look forward to each one of your videos. Thank you again for doing them. Hi Keith, Sorry to make you jealous. I’m not sure how much difference there is between the 10w and the 20w power but I’m sure it must be significant. In case you are not aware, it is possible to purchase the 20w module and replace the 10w on the engraver that you have now. Again, I’m sure the cost would be substantial. It is an impressive machine. It seems that many of the YT'ers I subscribe to have been reviewing these types of machines recently. This one is as good as any of them. As I said, they are impressive. Yes, it seems to be a very common thing for KZreadrs to be offered laser engravers to review. I assume it's good advertising for the companies or they wouldn't be doing it. I agree that they are expensive. If I hadn't had them offered to me I wouldn't have one. Although I haven’t tried it myself I have seen others use laser engravers to make labels on leather. I’m not sure what other material you might want to use. I guess the only way to know would be to try it. If you can tell me what material you have in mind I could give it a try and let you know. Thanks for watching! …..Gord

Great Video! I just got my XTool D1 Pro for Christmas and this video really helps. Two things I noticed: 1) your honeycomb doesn't seem to extend all the way side to side, where as mine comes to within 3/4" of the side rails on both sides. 2) How did you route the air assist hose? I'm trying to find a video that show how to route it, but I'm coming up empty.

James, I got the honeycomb bed for my other laser engraver which is smaller. I may get a larger one to accommodate the size of the new engraver but it's not at the top of my wish list right now. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so if you want to give me your email address - mine is on the About tab of my KZread channel - I will send you a photo of how I have the air assist hose run.
