Terry Chambers is a powerhouse. I don’t think he ever got the credit he so richly deserved as their drummer.

There's Dave blazing away back there without a single bit of love from the director. Sums up the whole Dave in XTC experience.

It always amazes me when I hear a live performance sound as good as the produced version, not to mention incredibly varied and complex songs! XTC!

Unlike most of their new wave contemporaries XTC possesed expert and complex musicianship. Check out Andy's crazy chording mixed with Dave Gregory's skillful leads along with Colin Moulding's all over the fretboard bass work all along with Terrry Chambers' solid precise drumming and you'll know what I mean.

Their live sound was as close to the recording as you could hope for. Andy’s vocals, everything for that matter was top notch, all the way to the synth interlude. Thank you Andy, Dave, Terry and Colin for the great music and inspiration over the decades.

XTC was so good live. I’ve never seen this before & it’s amazing. Wish they would have been able to do more live shows, but unfortunate for Andy’s mental health. I just love this band.

What is sad is how good they are live, yet they never toured this or any of their following albums. While all the band's fans know this story, it is still one of the greatest missed opportunities in Rock.

There's the live quality of the band to marvel at, and also, how pleased Andy seemed to be with everything. He's clearly enjoying himself. Too bad the "fear of performing" crept up and removed that entire facet of their life as a band.

This video led me to do a deep dive into XTC and place them atop of my list of favorite bands. "Yacht Dance" with its Classical, quirky folk, bouncing bass slides & flanged drums changed my life in ways I can't quite explain just yet. And "No Thugs.." is the perfect, immaculate performance. Thank you for sharing this video!

Such an underrated band. I saw ExTC (Terry's band playing XTC's classics) at the 100 Club and was a) sad that I will never see XTC live; and b) happy that Terry is keeping the XTC catalogue alive.

As usual with artists, there’s no such thing as the tired cliche “underrated”. You’re either appreciated by those who like your work or you’re not. If you don’t enjoy a great band like XTC, that’s your loss.

Brilliant, but I think some pedantry is required regarding the introduction. As anyone from the area would know if you went from Swindon to Chippenham you'd be travelling in the wrong direction towards Bristol rather than towards London. The station also isn't called Chippenham Junction, its just called Chippenham.
