XT250 - 10,000 Mile Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

10K on the clock of my ‘14 Yamaha XT250. The mountain goat keeps rolling.
Zero mechanical repairs to date … just needing regular maintenance and damage repairs speaks to the soundness of the venerable, fun, mild mannered Serow.

Great video, it's really cool to see how well your bike is holding up to hard riding. Just got one last week and took it out on some really hard and was impressed with how good it did over whoops and jumps and all around stuff at the ORV park. I actually got this thing to do some back country discovery routes and i think this will be a great bike for that.

Love my 2008 XT250. It had set up for a couple of years and I had to do some carb work when I first got it. It had a slight dead spot on tip in after getting it running but after seeing the air filter had been replaced with a K&N I ordered a new Yamaha replacement and it cured the hesitation. I now have a good bike that has only 4100 miles on it. I have been riding big street bikes for 50 years and this bike is my absolute favorite. It’s so easy to manage and it will go anywhere you want if you can handle it. Gonna put some more different tires for a smoother and safer street ride as I have to ride pretty far to get to the trails I ride on. Other than that it’s perfect for me and if I drop it I can pick it up without no problem. It’s a keeper.

Got the Serow 2019 over here in Philippines. They were almost identical with XT250 except for the signal lights, tail lights and the rear tubeless spoked wheel design on it as stock. Serow stickers for asian market and XT stickers somewhere else. I only replaced the header pipe with titanium from Webike Japan, added a Burkbuster handguard and bar-end weights, replaced air filter with a diy foam filter (Washable - no oil) from Serow 225/Xt225 and replaced both hydraulic brake hose with Stainless steel braided ones from Webike as well.

Serow is a class of bike (I think) because the TW200, TTR225m XT250 (maybe more) are all called Serow. Lots of interchangeable parts there, too. Same exhaust header for all of them, same muffler, same pegs come on them (tiny aren't they!). But the main thing they have in common is they are bullet proof and unstoppable. Just pick your flavor and enjoy.
