It’s like watching a surgeon perform microsurgery…..the skill level is the same as far as I’m concerned. Awesome.

lol 😂 it true! He can do almost the impossible
I started watching your videos a couple of months ago and was so fascinated by board level repair and micro soldering. I ended up buying a soldering/rework station and just completed my first repair with the help of your videos. I replaced a micro USB port that broke off a Bluetooth speaker. The repair included fixing three ripped pads and replacing the connector. What a satisfying experience. I know why your face lights up when the device works again. Keep up the great content and thank you for inspiring me to get into micro soldering.

Where did you buy the pads?
Just when I think I'm getting a little better at soldering, you produce another masterpiece in dexterity and unrivalled skill. Great video using your amazing talents.
I never get tired of watching these videos. As an electronics technician that is very hands-on and an engineering student I can't begin to tell you how invaluable your videos are. Not only for the tips and tricks of troubleshooting and repair/rework but also for your dedication and motivation. Please don't ever let anything get in the way of the joy you get from your work, Alex. Keep up the great work!
Oh Alex, the way you do this kind of microscopic repairs are similar to human surgical, i think that we should call you doctor Alex from now forth. Who's with me gys? 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
This is really incredible. Blows my mind that amount of precision and skill that is involved in a repair like this. What a satisfying video.
What an awesome job. You should call your shop "emergency room". That was a majestetic surgery fix. Great, solder-blobs like mirrors😂 thanks for the video
This is not only a miracle repair, but a piece of art repair that deserves an Oscar 😁. Real good job considering the very small area and the many things done in it👌

Absolutely, it's like watching a supreme artist at work.
I’ve got the Wylie version of the pad repair kits but I thought all of the different brands use the same shape pads, that’s why I only purchased from just one brand. Glad I watched this because you just assume they’re all the same but just different packaging. The other brand ones you showed will be brilliant for different situations. Great video as always👍
Miracle indeed. Your hands and eye sight is so perfect it looks a robot is working on it. You definitely need a trillion applause in one second for couples of decades. Great job indeed. Sir. ...... thank you for teaching. ..
Your skills are amazing. Everything seems so easy but it is hard in the reality.

Indeed, it seems so easy! But I know from experience that it's not
You left out one sentence.. "Better than factory" man you inspire me a lot.
A work of precision executed precisely!
I came back to watch this one again.. Your work is top notch!!
I've never seen a better fix before. Great job man!
I have watched almost every video and one thing everyone must realize is this is a pro in action!! Don't think you can perform these repairs yourself. He makes it look so easy but I know from experience it really isn't. I just took a shit at my 2017 imac firmware chip and ended up pulling one half of the pads up!! Now I've got to send to Northridge fix and pay more!! I wish I would have just sent it in the first olace. Save some money and send it bf attempting! Great video and I'll be sending my board.
Perfect job, as always. Better than factory!! It will last forever. Regards from Italy.
This is one of the most amazing pcb repair vids!! Hat is off!!!
All I can say is “WOW” you are a master.
Top job alex, Outstanding workmanship.

Excellent craftsmanship.
When I use these... I get happy!!! CLASSIC!!
Wow nice Job Alex, I was wondering at any point when you first looked at it did it ever seem like a no fix in your head, but fair play that was amazing work, the magician works his magic once again
Impressive work under the microscope! Didn’t know these repair pads existed. (First time viewer. Subscribed, of course.)
Great job. Thanks for the video
Now that is top quality work
That was fantastic!

good job mate.
My comments on your videos: Great fix and nice job... what else can you say... better than factory once again...
Very nice vedio & very fine work.
Nice video, keep it up, thank you :)
Amazing work
Amazing, reminds me of my iPad pro you fixed for me and you made 2 videos for it.
Are those pad strips a recent innovation? I've only seen you use them and I remember you getting them for the first time, they seem like such a godsend for these repairs!

They’ve been around since the early 80s at least, you can see them being used in the old PACE soldering guide videotapes.
I feel like watching a 15 min infomercial. And also enjoyed it.
I love watching...I'd smile in the mirrors of solder.
Great job
Very nice!
excellent job..
My luck Alex, if I ever get a chance to do some micro work like this, the 1st replacement pad strip would end up flying half way across the room! 😁😅Great painstaking repair!
CONGRATULATION MISTER ALEX... YOU ARE THE BEST ÎN JOB... YOU ARE A MIRACLE... AWESOME😍😍😍👍👍👍
Great job 👌, nice to use solder mask 👍
Goog job, congratulations
great job
Nice proper job
What a precision
Superb repair! A very tedious and meticulous process.
Awesome..better than factory..and the job is done..
I do a bit of smd pad repair. My issue is which kit to grab. Without gluing them down, I don't know if it's really better than using wire?
Very good work. The second type look like the have rings instead of pads. Is this the way they are? On the larger types the outside of the ring is not very wide. I think wider would be better. I believe the rings are used for through hole components.
Mr. Alex, if a "grinding pen" is the only thing that makes you happy........well, YOU need to get out of the shop more and commune with the world man! Run through some meadows picking flowers or go to the beach and squish some sand in your toes. Happiness is what it's all about! Happy Soldering!!! Oh, by the way, after a job like this, and when that credit roll music comes on, I DANCE!!!!!!
@gordonwelcher9598

I like the solder pen too. I am allergic to flowers and I hate sand, it gets everywhere. Also can't dance.
Mashallah, excellent repair job
9:10 Very tidy work indeed! 💖👌
Sir we miss ur job done smile, hard work, after temp. By other tech. Good job sir.
I get that this isn’t a beginner lesson but, for us beginners elaboration is vital. Like how do the new pad strips stay on the board? Do they merely rest there staying in place due to the solder on the trace part? Why is it important to see your reflection in the blob? What’s going on if you can’t? How do I ensure it’s right?
good job dear sir
Another item to add to the list "Must Have"
Tools that make you smile
super job
Wait how do you make those strips stick to the surface are they glued in place or you just rely on me nearby pins
Excelente video y muy buena reparación👌👑✨👍💪👌👍💪
Well Done 👍. Is it possible to secure the no connect pads with solder mask when the connector is soldered properly ? I think doing that will secure the connector even more to the board.
super travail de presision
Good Job
Awesome job bro keep rocking bro 👍👍👍
Perfect 👍
That wick is amazing…
Good job
Perfect
Do you show how to replace through hole vias or recommend a guide or video? I may have to buy a flange with a kit. It's on an old Atari 7800 board for the power stage that I got off ebay broken. Pads lifted and some through holes just gone not copper only board.. just subscribed and buying some of these pads. Great channel, thanks!
As a hobbyist I use the smallest flathead screwdriver to expose traces on the PCB. I have lifted or ripped a few traces using this method. I wonder how precise the pcb grinding pen is. Has anyone here tried it yet?
excellent
