XR650R is a good bike for Baja! I did 3 rides thru Baja and all over Nevada and Northern California. I bought it new in 2000 and put over 21,000miles on it, and it can still go 100MPH. Engine is stock, but freshened up motor at 12k.

Scott Summers. Seeing that bike made me think of him. I had a 93 XR600 I bought new with my own money when I was a sophmore in high school. I just sold it this year. Was the spare bike last year. It would still get some use. I never had to rebuild that engine in the 30 years I had it. Tough as nails.

I've been riding XR650R's for 20 yrs! My favorite Bike of all time! I prefer to call them "Dominators" not BRP's. This Bike always puts a Big Smile on my Face. BTW, I'm 74 yrs old. Good Luck in the Baja Race!

I bought a XR650 from a guy that was racing it in some of the Baja 300/500 events. Those bikes are a dream out in the desert. Baja is beautiful, have fun!

Finally! Some fresh content that I'm gonna follow! Baja 1000 on the 'ol BRP. Straight out of the gate? No baja 250/500? One thing's for sure, the classic XR650 is still up to the task. Good luck, stay safe

Cool deal. Goin to go get/look at xr650r tomas.. Im shootin to make it to the baja 400. Gotta add a stabilizer, tire inserts and send it! lol.

I have had an xr650r for about 7 years. It’s been to Cabo from the Tecate border and back and more trails that I can remember. I just bought a new XCW but the XR is staying as it is one of the best bikes ever. I would love to shred some trails with you on the XRS

I rode from early teens to about 22. Im 33 now and havent rode in over a decade. Been getting the itch again. New subscriber! Love seeing an XR! Old school reliability!

Excited for this! Glad to see you’re heading back! I’ve always wanted to do that race. I’ve had an xr650r with a blown motor sitting in storage for years. This is going to push me over the edge to finally get it back running

Lance is helping me with the Mako for my XR400. He knows his stuff, without a doubt. I found a triple clamp from RSW. Great video. XRs rule!!!

You should throw a set of crf450r forks on there. Honestly super excited for this. One of the greatest bikes ever made in my opinion.

Best thing you can do is get on someone’s pit/chase team first. Unless of course you have piles of money. Then just go 🤣😂

Wish the xr650r had electric start and was still in production. At 5'8 getting a leg over that bike is tough, let alone kicking it, so i got a 525 instead. Love the content nonetheless, keep it up and ride safe down in Mex!

No. On a team this year. Soloed 1047 miles in 2006

Do team race on bikes all have their own bikes, or do teammates all have to finish on the same bike?

Hey bro ove the xr650r content...got the brp triple clamp scotts setup but need longer than stock cables for the throttle about 3 to 4 inches. Do you know of any suppliers of the cabling to do this job or complete cables. Thanks for the content on the xxr ❤
