Right. Thats the main argument against reacts like his. If you're not even interested in him and just interested in the video, that means 2 things off the top of my head 1. Original creator just lost a view 2. X fucking sucks at creating transformative content.

Reminds me of this story I heard about a wall street banker in the 1900s who bought a property remote on top of a network cable, dug all of the property to look for it, tapped into it to cyphen all the data and made a program that would buy and sell trades depending on how many people would buy and sell. So basically it's like there a queue of buyers, that dude knew exactly who was gonna buy what seconds before the transition was validated and would just hijack the position, altering the price of the trade to his investors' advantage. It was the best case of insider trading. Nowadays you wouldn't be able to do something like that because not only are data transmitted through these cables encrypted but also because the stock market took precautions in how they validate and refresh market prices.

You can absolutely do this nowadays. It's easier that ever. No cables required. In fact, this is the norm for everyday traders. It's the reason all these trading apps like Robinhood, etc. are free. Because they sell the flow of trades through 'market makers'. This is how Robinhood makes their money. Look up "Payment for order flow (PFOF)" to learn more.

People that get upset about the government "spying" on them need to realise that if its not rhe government its someone else. If it's connected to the Internet in some way, there's someone out there able and looking at what youre doing. And unless you are doing something bad or they are trying to do something bad with that information you shouldn't care.

One thing is that there are governments that claim they will protect and won't violate the privacy of its citizens, and if the government spies on some citizens, it would be against what the government promised. Regardless of whether it's good or bad for the government to spy on its citizens, I can understand why some people are angry at their government. In addition, by making such promise, the government should not exploit any tricks to gather information on its citizens without consent such as paying other individuals or organizations to spy on its people, should punish individuals who do so, and should prevent those cases from occuring. Looking at more realistic cases, it seems to make more sense for Americans to be way more angry at their own government than at Chinese government as 1.They don't live in China. 2. Although China spies on US, but US also spies on China. So, it's an almost equal exchange. 3. US government promised to protect and to not violate their privacy. However, the government does the opposite. 4. China doesn't really claim that their government doesn't interferer in their citizen's privacy, they haven't made any promise about that.

Most applications that use the internet are encryptet, so they aren't getting more then what the transport layer is telling them, thus they know what server u are communicating with but not the content of the communication

@@Tokyo1889 Thats not my point though. im saying snooping is relatively ineffective nowadays because of encryption, middle men attacks are also ineffective. Sure if they have a honey pot they will know what u are sending but they need subpoenas for that, they aren't handing them out for every packet u send

What are you talking about lmfao... High profile criminals know to use encryption and nowadays most things are HTTPS encrypted. The average person is in more danger than them - literally threw the classic "I have nothing to hide so why should I care"... My guess would be that the interest is in literally cutting connection when they find use to do so or even infiltrate companies or create fake ones so they have a chance to get access to data when it's momentarily unencrypted or specs of it are being leaked in its way but to fight that you still have E2EE (which they are trying to make illegal). @@bismillah5060
