Xperia got the jack; I'm a DJ and I like to use my Sennheiser HD 25 to listen on the phone.

SD Card support was the deciding factor for me: *Xperia* FTW 🏆

I don't even have to watch the video to say the Xperia 1VI won the battery test 😂

I'm blown away how good is the new 1 VI upgrading from 1iii It's just wow. And I don't miss 4K panel because you don't notice the difference, a matter of fact it's even better display,battery life is awesome.

Only for the sd card slot Sony has me sold.

As a owner of the s24 ultra get the Sony the s24 has some pretty horrible banding on the screen and I wanna return it, get the Xperia save ur money (Unless the screen can get fixed from updates wich I don't think it will lol)

I got mine few days ago, been playing with it a lot and it looks like there's something wrong with your "review phone", maybe pre-release software? For instance, I'm getting 1.63M in AnTuTu, photos from telephoto lens are insane, especially Macro shots! Sharp and full of details, nothing soft about them. 😍 I'm loving it! 🥰😇

Thanks for sharing your experience, t's not a review unit though, I bought it myself, but I also got a software update yesterday, maybe they fixed the telephoto issue. For AnTuTu it really depends on the condition you are running it. I'm glad you like the phone, Sony phones are so likable :)

Sony xperia 1 vi better than s24 ultra. Xperia cinematic camera or actually zoom lens operating technology, Xperia apps speed , sound,best waterproof protection , screen regulation more better than s24 ultra... Xperia have 3.5mm head phone jack or micro sd card slot.. Great video👌👌👌 thank u🎉

No such thing as a good battery life comparison with a 1080p screen. If they had the same screen, then that could be compared. Sorry, no comparison.

@@mjjones1045 Exactly the opposite. It just goes to show that 1080p is more than enough for flagships, and it gives the benefit of better battery. Plus in this case it also adds better brightness and VRR.

Xperia does better at capturing photos and videos to be as natural as the eyes see them, that's important. Whereas other flagships use too much AI to enhance the captured footage. And when you add that the Xperia has a 3.5mm audio jack and SD card support. it's a no brainer.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI camera is not buggy, a lot of professional cameras has made a preview of it including myself, the camera is super stunning compared to Samsung S24 Ultra, to me Sony Xperia 1 VI is the best.

Samsung can make updates for 7 years, but the updates it has made have made the s24 ultra very bad, the battery is getting worse and worse, the camera and its color gamuts have been getting worse and worse, it is not decisive that more years of updates are made. I changed my s24 ultra to Xperia 1 VI, quality is more important to me than quantity of Samsungs. Thank you!

@@kritatali yeah, im a happy owner of S24U rn too. after goijg with A-series since A5 and now i have a problem with the keyboard AI stuff. it says that i can be done ON the phone if its on english but when i try to do it - it tells me to turn off the processing-only on the phone like why? you tell me that it can be done and i was able to do it previously.

Hi, I'm not sure if I do a dedicated test but I can assure u the Xperia 1 VI battery is better than any phone I ever had. The only thing comes close to it was Motorola power.

I had the Xperia 1(i) in 2018. The first fingerprint reader i ever used. Worked so so quick and never failed. Here i am in 2024 with a Samsung S20+ and the fingerprint reader is garbage!! Fails at least once a day. I'd love to go back to an Xperia but the lack of at least 1440p screen annoys me. Why can't all phones have a headphone jack too?!!

You should also test performance with games, apps and such, so that you can compare synthetic benchmarks along with those results

7:50 It is because you are accidentally pressing the physical shutter button halfay. That is why the touch shutter button isn't working. And i think you can capture video on pro mode if you long press the shutter button which gives you more control over the settings .

Sony photos look more realistic I think.

Great Sony made Xperia 30g lighter than Samsung. Light is a way to go. Don't buy heavy phones your wrist will suffer long term.

Nice review, but why didn't you mention in the video that the 1 VI will soon receive the pro video mode through a software update? Also, the 1VI can shoot in 4K 120FPS on all lenses, whereas the s24ultra can shoot 4K120P with just main and ultra wide lens.

My main camera is FX30 but I never used it for this channel. I use Canon R50 since it's small and works for vlogging. Also I should visit Croatia this year, being a while :) Greetings from Austria.

Hello, I am asking for proper game tests, how does it maintain the frame rate, what are the temperatures, for example, in games such as CoD, Minecraft or Genshin Impact and whether it is possible to hold the phone frame even after playing for a long time without it burning my finger, is this is the biggest problem with my Xperia 1 V. @@dazza4345 That won't be the only reason, the price also plays a role and almost zero marketing, but on the other hand I welcome it, at least I have a device that really doesn't have everyone like Samsung or Apple that I see on every corner, and with this Xperia there was an improvement in support for 3 years system and 4 years of security. And is short support really such a problem? I had an Xperia 5 II before the current one which is 1 V and the fact that it had an older version of Android didn't matter to me at all, the main thing was that the applications I needed worked and the applications themselves received updates and it was a mega advantage, I was sure that it would not change for me Device UI with every other update like Samsung likes to do.

Just turn on the HS Power Control. Plug it in the charger. Problem solve. That's tee reason why they have game enhancer. To use it while you charge it.

@@RYANBdzeasy That doesn't solve the problem at all, it just heats up a little later, because the processor is the one that heats up and if I'm not within reach of the charger and I don't even have a power bank, then this advice is of no use to me.

@@Petros1645 sorry to here that. But for me it works all the time. I got Xperia 1 iv 📱 Got no problem with over heating while playing. I just wired it to the charger with the HS Power Control on, One of the unique features of Sony is this one.

I've wanted a Sony phone for years, but it's just not available or potentially fully compatible with Canadian carriers. The updates history from what I recall is not very strong either, but I could be wrong there. I own an S24U and still wish my camera was better despite paying so much for it.

Using the Xperia 1VI after the Xperia 1V I honestly miss the Xperia 1V it was way better when it comes to media consumption, photography software and video also the 21.9 aspect ratio is way more comfortable to use

Please test battery life vs s24 ultra extensively i just sent back my s24 ultra because the battery was so horrible my oneplus 8 with 75% bh was able to outlast it

Sony Xperia 1m6, Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra. Which name sounds more mouthful?

the flicker is from the LED light you would experience this issue with a professional camera too if the shutter speed is almost as high as led the refresh rate.

I really do want to try sony xperia but sadly it was not released Globally because in popularity it always behind the reason why it’s always Galaxy phones or iphones dominating the market.

3:58 didn't the Samsung have a slightly higher clock rate which explains the advantage in power and disadvantage in battery power?

Does the Xperia 1 VI have the micro-stuttering from time to time when you scroll the screen like the one on the 5 V even though it's already set to 120Hz?

Don't buy xperia. It's camera quality might be better than 24ultra's but It doesn't have much feature like recording video in 8K  24 fps UHD, 4K  30 fps UHD, Front camera 4K @ 60 fps. Xiaomi has better camera and features and it's cheaper. imo sony doesn't live up to it's price yet people are buying it for only being a loyal fan.

@@techmo2020 im now on the edge which of those to order. One thing what is keeping me to not buy Ultra is size factor and shape. Other than that I dont really like photos from my iPhone 15 Pro max and I believe from ultra are similar, making from night day and looks really over sharpened.

Wait, in response to the S24's anti reflective screen he decided that the SD card slot is on the same level? You can't be serious. The card slot alone would more than push me in the direction of the Sony phone. 2 TB of hires music with me at all times...EASY win for the Sony. The. To top it off it has a good headphone jack?
