Wow ..there is a while lot going on with that new headphone pod!! I would be curious if you could make a video showing the new deus 2 controls compared to the deus 1 controls. Kind of like how you did the deus compared to the ORX a while back.

Any news on when the go terrain app will be available? I'm new to come and have seen it mentioned a couple times. It looks really cool and exciting. Is there a beta version to try? The Deus II pre-ordered will be my first XP detector. Ordered the cool xp back back to go along with it. Also plan to add the mi6 pinpointer as well. Thanks for all you do Gary!

Big fan of your videos and the xp deus 1. I am considering buying the deus 2 but not sure which coil, 11" or 9"? I am a South Florida beach hunter in and out of the surf. Currently I have two 9" coils for the deus 1, and they work fine but I could use a little more ground coverage if I choose the 11" coil or would it be too difficult to swing in the surf. Any advice? David from Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Thanks Gary for the run through of the menu and features of the WS6 in its discrimination modes. I did not notice a Silencer page….. Also I would mostly use the Relic and Gold Field programs. Are the menus and settings different for those two programs?

Yes there are the usual settings for Relic and Goldfield, Silencer has no expert menu

Thanks Garry for great video. Just a few questions about it. If i will mount ws6 module on the stem, can i get sound from the headphones? Or i'll need to buy wsa2 headphones? And the second one. How do you think, which FMF coil is more universal on the plowed lands?

Hi yes the WSA2 or WSA2XL headphones can be used wirelessly with the WS6

Hi Gary, great video but have you had chance to try out the WSA II xl headphones yet? I like to use full headphones similar to the old WS5 (the Quest headphones which take the WS4 puck). I'll not be ordering my Deus 2 until March so will the WSA II xl headphones be available by then?

Can’t seem to find the silencer setting on the puck, is there one on the puck?

I noticed you didn't show the SILENCER feature is this not available on the WS6'S ??? If it is where is it ?

Gary, question? I used multi tones on my Deus most of the time, reminds me of my favorite tone ID machine from the past, (teknetics Mark One). Do you use zero disc in multi tones since the iron tends to grunt (low tone) or do you add a small amount of discrimination to keep iron from trying to bleed through? So asking I’d Deus 2 behaves the same way, so whatever settings you use, transfers nicely to the Deus 2? My beach trip was canceled, so now just waiting for the detectors to get hear from across the big pond, then if all is well, I will have it for a week of beach hunting in NC, thanks

Hi Jerry, you can use -6.4 discrimination in full tones, but in the other tones you need disc, the iron sound comes in below the rejected range.

Gary, follow up, as a general rule, less discrimination transfers to better depth as a general rule of thumb in our ground, mild to moderate except in Culpepper, etc. So in Theory, would full tones -6.4 discrimination, be deeper than a 3 tone with 5 discrimination for example? I love full tones too. Deus is the only high tech machine with analog like tones. Every other detector that’s digital, has no nuance’s like it, hard to explain but you’re the Deus master, so bet you know EXACTLY what I mean. Ask them to rush my Deus 2 please, lol and thanks for all you do. Especially in answering questions, you must get 100’s?

Hey Gary, can you tell me if it is possible to use a Bluetooth Speaker with the WS6 when used as a Master? I know there may be so latency but I don't like to wear headphones all the time. Thanks in advance, Lee, Assonet, MA

Hi Gary, does the WS6 have more then one notch setting? The manual for it (WS6 Master) on pg 38 shows it has three notch settings. I am only able to find one. Thanks for any help, Wayne

Ground balance: Do you press the button once and let go or do you keep your finger on the button until the machine has balanced?

I keep it pressed until the machine gives a constant ground reading.

Gary , one quick question? On WS6 in Freq Scan I see it showed (6) before you pressed Scan is that the amount of frequencies used for that Program? 2:39 minutes of this video. Thanks

Personally, I would get the 22cm (9") coil and for working awkward areas...... Perhaps wait a little longe😉

Hi Gary, I am trying to save programs on my WS6. It is not paired to a remote. It is paired to my 9”coil. I make all the changes I want to a program and then press the Options button, bottom left on the WS6, scroll down to Programs, long press and Save shows up on the display. I then press the down button and nothing happens…………. I just assumed pressing that short click down button would take me to the unused slots and then to the enter the name and valid page……I never get to any of that. If I press the long press down button I see “Replace B” with an X bottom left and a check mark bottom right. What am I doing wrong????? Hold on…..I was trying to save a modified Deus Mono program and now as I scroll through I see an extra Deus mono Pr7 with a little user profile Icon. That seems to be my saved program!!!!! Can I make multiples for each program or just one for each program……? Thanks, Jeff McClendon

Thanks Gary for the video which i have requested... For me is the ws6+Coil enough, i don't need a RC. The missing of the XY screen in ws6 is a disappointing, maybe later in a update ? As for the Prices in South africa the ws6 cost about 375 Euros , the wsa2 about 150 euros ..about the coil i don't know...... any information ?

The RC is the master, dominant with programs and features. Turn it off and the headphones become the master with their own custom programs if they are installed

Question for you is if I transfer my settings to the head set can I knock the module off or there is no way the head set and coil works without the module..?

Think you have misunderstood the question or perhaps I have written it wrong, I can take my headset then using my brain eyes and hands I can programme the headset with my programme/settings, which is me transferring date from my brain to the headset, is it possible to use the headset once it as been programmed with my settings independently without the module being switched on or is not possible to switch the head set on independently, Thanks

I can live without the xy screen to be honest, the remote control cost about 700 Euros so you save that money:-)

Where is the silencer on the WS6?

I think you can, but the normal Bluetooth may not match the xp speed.

I just ordered my II. Deus is new to me. Why and when would one use the puck? In a way 2 Machines in 1? Why?

I would suggest you download the manual from the XP web site.

So if I use the ws6 puk as the control unit can I link a second set of headphones to the puk? Wirelessly? And if so which are compatible please 🙏

My ws6 module is stuck on a volume screen. No matter if I push the negative or plus or the menu or setting button all it does is lower or raise the volume. Will not pair to the module. Any advice please???

If all you can access is the volumes it is paired. Turn off your RC and the menus should appear

When you disconnect the WS6 puck off the headset is the headset still useable for audio?

No....as you have disconnected the audio supply.

Is it still looking like the first week in January release date Gary wife is dropping hints on a new couch she knows a have cash sitting 😂and is the performance the same when you are only using the puck will have to pick up a spare stem and make a lite version for her thanks

All I can suggest is double check the serial numbers. Sometimes a D is an O and 8 is a B. The font they use is not very clear.

Settings - pairing - coil - enter coil serial number. Also check the puck connections are correctly seated to the headband.
