Its an old school. Not even a southern. My dad learned it from his dad, my father always carried hankies for blowing his nose but also had some for his ladies. He even taught my fiance how to do it and he does it as well. You godfather should teach Judd how to do it. It honestly sometimes is a lifesaver to have those in situations.

My husband is in his late 30's, I've known him since he was 15 and he has always carried a hankerchief in his back pocket. I believe his dad does as well. They were both born and raised in the South. Your Godfather seems like a great, fun guy!

OMG Your Godfather just made me really miss my dad so badly. He always went to work dressed in a tailored three piece suit when I was little and every Christmas I would hand embroider a set of handkerchiefs for him which he wore in his top pocket. Thank you for that memory

Hey Jaquie I know you probably won't see this because you're so famous and busy being a warrior. But I wanted to say that I just got brain surgery after finally getting a diagnosis to explain my symptoms I had for over a decade. This last month has been pure hell especially since my body rejected all pain med options except steroids and Tylenol. Anyway you have been a huge inspiration and you help me keep going. And I especially love that you talk about the low moments. I have love for you Jaquie. Gentle hugs ~

Today has been a hard day. In fact, the last few months as symptoms have been worsening has been mentally and physically challenging. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I am going to start Xolair in about 2 weeks. I didn’t know there might be a “hangover,” but I am glad to hear it gets better the next day or so. I was concerned about the anaphylactic response that is possible after injection, but I think I am moving forward despite that. Feel better! We fellow warriors appreciate your content and the positive thoughts sent our way!

Looking to move to Florida cause Vegas is lacking EDS doctors, Mayo in Az is not on my insurance plan so the doctor are unable to care for my multiple chronic illnesses here and feeling like I’m dying so I’m praying God can help me w this move. Looked into Cali last summer twice Ucla decided not to see me after 6 hr drive I was 15 min late due to gps issues. Jaquie, I want you to know how much you have inspired me....I don’t think that me finding your channel was a coincidence.... I know about feeling awful! For the past month I have been having episodes of syncope, and my doctors keep shuffling me to new doctors, and nobody has had answers for me. The last time I went to ER, Wednesday, they did an angio and told me I have carotid stenosis. That means that I am a ticking time bomb for a stroke, it is so bad I may need surgery. So I know about terrible, and I'm only 41, too young for this.

Enjoyed seeing and meeting your Godfather. My Dad always carried a hanky. He passed in 2001, so I have most of his hanky's. I have them put away with other mementos of him. It is a Southern thing and generational too. My (Immediate) family were all born in Texas but moved out to California in 1960, when I was 8 years old. I still have a accent at times. When I talk to cousins still in Texas my accent comes out then a lot. LOL

I feel ya sister. I need to find several better doctors for my stuff. I’m not happy with them. The struggle is so exhausting. I can’t seem to find a doctor who will allow me to have a port for fluids at home. They’ve all said, those aren’t good for ppl with autoimmune diseases. What they don’t seem to understand is I’m so exhausted and I have to lay down the majority of my day due to the disautonomia and pots, etc... I’m not able to drink the amount of water I need to stay hydrated. My pain management specialist is also no good. I wish I was closer to Florida so I could see the doctors you have already tested out and who seem to be helpful. I dread the hunt. Sending you spoons. Btw, that is so cool that Harlow tells you when your heart rate goes up. I hate it when that happens and I get out of breath and fainty

So sorry you feel this way, don't video for us, take care of yourself, I mean we appreciate it, but really we are good with taking care of you. For those who do not know with help you can sit in a chair and play ball to get the dyst. to stop or slow down, it is something my dog got me to do and it works, it was hard and you do need someone around to keep an eye on you but the sitting up pressure with the movement has been known to help, so if you want to try it get support. Here is one link www.dysautonomiainternational.org/page.php?ID=43 www.dysautonomiainternational.org/pdf/CHOP_Modified_Dallas_POTS_Exercise_Program.pdf Yahoo for Godfathers. Some of my ancestors are from Texas, so awesome to you Richard. Like the funny photo peace bombs.lol Medicine can be one component, but look into them all and at different times, as various combinations can work for different people, just get help figuring it out with someone who know. Also using a method like fast intermittent training can allow for the same results in less training, again do this with help. I rarely get my attacks, my dog has been good at signalling me and even when to quite, I know not all SDs can do that but if you play with your dog often enough they get used to your heart rate and your symptoms, so ball playing with your dog from your chair/couch can be really good. Hope this share helps someone in some way.
