What a drummer!.. their sound is like it is still ahead of their time even now, it is just unbelievable. The guitar, the bass, the keyboard.. nothing to compare nowadays..

Da sitze ich nun, 37 Jahre später, und bin, wie damals 1985, genau so fasziniert von der Ausstrahlung dieser Sängerin... X mal dank fürs Filmen und Reinstellen...
Manuela Rickers is a very good guitarist.

Having a x mal deuchtland weekend, this energy is making me feel a happy 18 again, great times, respect.
I think the people who just think of Anja Huwe as a German Siouxsie Sioux are way off the mark. Anja has a very distinctive performance style of her own.

Since Siouxsie was still such an incredible artist at that point in time, and there were so few outstanding females performing, (outside of mainstream pop) it's natural for people to compare everyone to Siouxsie.

apesar de estar pulverizado algumas bandas no som dele acho eles muito bons e os dias sem sol estão sempre nos arranjos

mralanford really calling them a gothic band is kinda insulting. If anything they were just a German post punk band that later went totally pop.

RIP Peter Bellendir. I believe he was actually into the idea of the band re-uniting at some point.

Too bad the then camera holders, whether they were pro or not, never paid due justice (visually) to Manuela Rickers, not only because she was good looking but also more than likely the main songwriter of XMD.

well different taste i guess ;) And if you'd knew about the circumstances ...very bad light, a packed place and trying to stay filming hidden besides a rough mood at the location because of those styled "Grufties" which the residing Hardcorepunks didn't like very well ... and the band recognizing there was no stardom for them even if it's the next big city close to their hometown and thus unlusty ...

Recalling from my X-Mal vinyl (which I don't have to hand), Anja actually wrote many of the songs. "Incubus Succubus" was certainly one of hers, anyway.
