XL Tiny House Is Absolutely Gorgeous

Ойын-сауық

The Denali XL is the latest creation from Timbercraft Tiny Homes in Alabama. This one is similar to their previous Denali models except this one is wider and longer and has tons of cool new features. One of our favorites? The combo washer and dryer that's tucked into the walls and hidden with open and slide in doors. Oh, and the steam shower!

I don't know why I'm so fascinated by tiny houses. Like on one hand I'd love to have a really big spacious home...but there's something about how tiny houses use space so ingeniously that makes me find them really cool

Coming from someone that is planning to put a few shipping containers on my land and save some money with my own work and pay as i go I really like the Timbercraft Denali XL overall The workmanship looks great and some quality goods installed I think the selling point for most would be customization IE Number of windows and the sizes Extra bedroom or office instead of the tall ceiling over the living room A few companies are designing modules that are planned out per footage 3 Sizes of bathrooms and 3 sizes of bedrooms,, Living room/ mini upright washer drier I think my thing is I will install screens on my windows.. And a small solar system for lighting mostly for night time use and small other things

This is great for a larger person, someone up to 300 lbs and very tall could live in this unit. I wouldn't need it because I am only 5ft 4" and don't need a steam shower, a king bed or high ceilings. I could do with 1/3 this much space. My needs are full sized farm kitchen sink, washer dryer, a large bathroom sink and small tub shower. The drawers under the stairs are genius, however I don't want stairs or a loft. I can do with a much smaller fridge than most people and a smaller stove.

@Marion Dorsey So many of the beds in tiny houses involve crawling. Not everyone has the physical health for that. The beds and ladders for the bedrooms are a big part of why I couldn’t live in most tiny houses I’ve seen. This bedroom setup would be great. I wouldn’t need that much space side-to-side, but the height and genuine stairs are wonderful.

Ohmigosh, I’ve been looking at many tiny houses, but this one is fabulous! I love to cook and this kitchen is terrific. My favorite selling point on this one though is the stand up bedroom! Not only is it spacious, with that amazing closet, but the stairs are manageable. I’m an older woman, and the stairs and lack of stand up ability in the bedrooms often eliminate my being able to live there in many other tiny homes. The design of this is perfect!

The only things I would change is the bathroom mirror to have storage inside for cosmetics/toiletries and change the combo washer/dryer to separate stackable ones, as the combo one takes few hours to dry clothes. This is an XL Tiny house so don't think space would be a problem as I've seen smaller tiny houses with double washer/dryer plus a full size fridge etc too.

It’s interesting how some people love this tiny home and some have derogatory comments because of either cost or it’s not truly a “tiny house”. For many people, like myself, I’m retired, this house is exactly what I’m looking for. His comment that you don’t have to compromise is, for me, spot on. At present I live in a 5000 sq.ft., house. Obviously I no longer need such a large house. I bought it because I am on a lake front property and have amazing views every hour of the day. Now it’s time to downsize because I’ve decided I want to travel and have a home base that is comfortable and doesn’t compromise what I want. This house answers all those issues I’m concerned with. Definitely don’t want a loft, I don’t need to be crawling around to get into bed, let alone climb a ladder to get there and risk falling from a loft during the night if I need to use the bathroom. Tiny homes fill a desire and need for many people with varied desires and needs and from what I’ve seen on you tube, come in every size, description and cost you can imagine. The fact that there are so many choices for the variety of people looking is a good thing. So be appreciative that tiny homes fit so many people rather than just a very few. Isn’t the idea to get people to be more environmentally responsible as well as live a better life over all? Having a smaller footprint and contributing to a better and more responsible use of resources makes sense to me.

No Hans, that wasn't the purpose of tiny homes but now that's the reason why prices have soar. It was for limited and fixed income so they didn't end up on the streets, off grid people and people that didn't want to have a mortgage(Usually young families)

According to their website: "THE FINISHED HOMES VARY FROM $50,000 TO $150,000 AND BEYOND FOR A TOP END CUSTOM BUILD". Since this is apparently their high end model, it's obviously 150k. Seems like a lot of money... And a Tiny House isn't meant for travelling, at the most it's meant to be moved once in awhile. What you want is an RV.

@@sweetcakz5810 The reason prices are going up is the same old reason everything goes up in price; more amenities, & out of control inflation. Cost efficient tiny homes are still being built for those who want them and are willing to live in the less glamorous homes of the early movement. And most of those earlier tiny homes were made by their owners with recycled parts and a little bit of free help from friends and family. Contractors and small businesses pay half their profits to taxes. So of course they are going to have to charge more the more involved the build becomes. You always have the choice of learning how to use power tools and building it yourself.

Careful with your wording. Plenty of people adore living in "small" tiny houses, and they're perfectly functional; so yes, they are still "realistic." Whether it works for individual people is an entirely different matter and completely up to opinion- I, for example, would not enjoy living in a tiny house this big, whereas you would not like living in a common-sized tiny house. Both are valid and realistic for each other!

One of the beauties of Tiny Houses is that an owner can design their own to fit their needs and lifestyles. Every Tiny House has the perfect owner. I love this house. As far as complaining about the finished prices, people don't seem to realize that a business has to pay for the trailer, materials, insurance, worker's comp insurance, payroll, lease on the property (or mortgage), energy for lighting, AC, power for tools and so on. Don't like the price? Okay- build your own. Don't have the skills? Okay, look for friends/family who do.

I agree. This is obviously a higher-end tiny home and custom to the purchaser’s tastes. Many older people divide their time between more than one residence. Not everyone wants a converted shed made out of recycled pallets these days. Lol

@Practice Joy It's kind of a upper class tiny house, lol! You can tell they have used top of the line everything in it so if you were designing it yourself you could easily use recycled and repurposed materials to cut the cost. I would tweak things a little like eliminate the trash compactor so I could shorten the counter and then eliminate the overhang on the countertop. That way I could extend the living room just a little so I could put in an L-shaped sectional couch. The livingroom is the most important place in a house for me. I like to have a comfortable cozy place for family and friends, along with my dogs and my husband and I. Then instead of the little dropdown table/shelf I would use one of those fold down tables that stores 4 stools underneath, I think IKEA has them. Other than that the lay out would just be about perfect for me!

I see everyone always complaining about the cost of these tiny homes. Well let me give you guys another perspective. My husband and I recently went tiny. Our last child graduated and he (my husband) had not finished college, so tiny it was. Our monthly rent-which INCLUDES water, electric, and wifi-is $300.00 monthly. The payment on our home is $250.00. It saves us an enormous amount of money every month. Some folks pay more then $550 JUST for rent alone and I know because I have done it myself. Tiny is the way to go. I don't know why in the world we waited so long.

The first time I saw this, about 18 months ago, I fell in love with it. Such a gorgeous house---not tiny, being twice the size of the ancient studio apartment I'm currently renting---and so well finished! I particularly love that kitchen!!

This is probably the best tiny home I've ever seen. For people who are downsizing, this would be terrific. That storage space in the closed would be my library. Fantastic.

You all have outdone yourselves with the Denali! It is absolutely gorgeous! I too have been fascinated with tiny homes and tiny home living. My life has recently changed tragically I’m sorry to say bc I lost my husband, the love of my life for 39 wonderful years and 3 sons. They are all grown and gone with families of their own. My husband had brain cancer. The worst type to have! So it’s just me and I want a tiny home! Would love for it to be one of yours!
