    Just finding this series/channel 2 years later, I absolutely love the build and appreciate how much work and time went into not only making the build but also filming it! If I keep watching the series you're gonna be the reason why I start a cafe project 🤣 keep up the amazing work!!

    so much nicer to have access to a cnc and/or milling machine to make spacers ect. I had to make the brass bushings fo the girder front end on my triumph with a drill press, file and sand paper, definatly takes a little longer. looking good there, keep up the awesome work and the videos to, they are appreciated.

    That looks so clean! Will you be making a video about wiring? Stock harnesses are great, but I'd love to see how you might handle custom wiring on the xj. I would also love to see how you would handle switching to alternate air filters rather than using the stock air box. Your videos are so helpful, especially when I'm working on the same bike. Thank you!

    I havent thought as far as wiring yet, had a game with the CB's wiring 😅 and pod filters are on the cards so we will see!

    Great video jish, I'd probably of put a small spacer inside the top yoke tho which the bolt would go through just to take up any play that might happen, if your going like fast on the road and have to break hard suddenly or hit a bump or two

    Well this is the beauty of having Matt as a good friend! Now i have it properly fitted with the spacers etc, i can now see what space is left to have a washer made up :)

    Fantastic job on the new front end Jish. I believe I noticed the fork oil seal protectors were installed upside down though. Love your videos. Wish my bank would allow my becoming a Patreon/Patron but they fear they may be a fraudulent website. I know, I know ! And Patreon/Patron won't accept checks either. Oh well (?).

    That is 1 professionally made washer Love the frount end. some kick-ass B Roll and editing too, do you use imovie Final cut or Prem pro when you do your editing? I Tried Final cut and the learning curve was slowing me down so much so I went back to imovie until I get over its limitations

    Final cut Pro dude! it took me ages to figure it out but its well worth it! just play with it, get creative and have some fun with the edits ;) best part of what we do is what can actually do whatever the hell we want!

    I've been binge watching PM's videos and so have you from the look of your epic transitions. He is the master. I kinda feel like getting a faster lenz for my M6 1.8 or somthing or maybe boosting my ceiling lights in the garage to make it brighter. your lens and camera seems to do well in low light, what combo you runing atm?

    Why did you cut the steering stops off the bottom yoke ?? Would it of been better to make the steel steering notch narrower ??? What you going to do now ?? Drill and thread new stops in the bottom yoke ??? I hope you never get a tank slapper !!! Good build ,and enjoying watching you doing it as after I restore my xr650r I'll be on the hunt for a old cb 750 to cafe racer it :)

    You can buy billet steering stops that bolt to the yoke and thats what i planned on using :)

    Ill be totally honest and most of it was looking at stem / bearing sizes to find ones as close to the original as possible! Then the rest is a gamble when it arrives and you work it out from there. I have done this with both builds :)

    That cinematic thread tapping was smooth af! Why the fork mounted bars tho? Just for the extra lowering? Also, thought we'd see the sleeve tattoo in the making 😂 it looks dope man

    My Guy! they actually came with the forks so thought may as well use them! Haha! you noticed the tattoo! This took a few weeks to film due to waiting on materials and tools etc so thats why my tattoo came to life ;)

    No dust seal for the bottom bearing? Also, why did you cut the lugs off've the lower triple clamp instead of modifying the lug on the frame? ta

    At this point it was all just offering it up and test fitting. They have all been powder coated and rebuilt since 👍 and i wanted to give the turning some adjustment in case i changed tanks or bars

    You need a spacer that sits inside the open space under that bolt. There really should be no open space inside of there at all.

    Nothing dangerous about cutting out that upper triple. You're shaving mils off for a clean fit.

    It would have been safer to cut steering stem in haft an tap both side cut head off bolt thread it in get the length you need then drill an pin the to shafts .theres alot of pressure on the top three hate to see that front end snap off .not being a hater just another idea for future projects

    I have gone from a 5mm worth of thread on an aluminium top nut to an inch and a half of solid steel bolt. So whats the problem? Its stronger than the original?

    I wasn't cutting him down or anything I have seen triple trees break before was just giving him an idea for the next time .I wish I could load pic I've done it on 5 different bike real simple .theres a video on here where I got the idea thanks again for the video always good to watch

    you should be ashamed of yourself. the time, skill ,effort and machine work your friend put into make the spacers and making it all fit. then you put a big honking standard iron work type bolt with the head sticking up. you could have at least used a nice flat rounded truss allen bolt.
