Link to buy Omega 7 Hyper and Vega X (no this video was not sponsored, TBTT just happens to carry these rubbers, so you can buy them if you want) - ttshop.us/ Additional thoughts on Vega X: This is a very good rubber if you are looking to play an offensive game but don't want to have to sacrifice the control you would lose when playing with a springier rubber. It's also a good rubber for intermediate level players who are starting to develop their loops, as the high throw angle and long dwell time allow for easy spin generation and a very stable, arc-y shot. Something I forgot to mention in the video is that pushing with this rubber (as you would expect 😂) also felt stable. There's so super springy sponge under the rubber that's going to make your pushes pop up or make your touch game go bad. This also applied to blocking, which, as I mentioned in the video, felt incredibly easy with this rubber. Additional thoughts on Omega 7 Hyper: As a reminder, I was playing with the 55-degree sponge throughout the video, as the 60-degree version is not publicly available yet, and won't be for at least a few more months, if not longer. This rubber is very fast and very unforgiving, but the shot quality it produces is phenomenal, and the right player could use a rubber like this to cause absolute havoc. I saw another review online that said this is about the closest you can get to buying a professional rubber from the commercial market, and as someone who plays with a professional rubber on the forehand, I definitely agree with that statement. In terms of the hybrid-ness, there are some shots (eg. counterlooping) where this rubber feels like your springy tensor rubber and other shots like looping against underspin where it feels more like a Chinese rubber. If you are trying to brush the ball, you really do need a very fast acceleration to properly engage with the sponge. The margin for error is quite small. A minor miss-hit can cause your ball to miss off the end, and an insufficient amount of acceleration can cause your loop to drop into the net. Again, both of these are due to the fact that the trajectory is very low, but also very long. I'm very curious to see how the 60-degree sponge will play, and I'll definitely be doing a review on that once I've got my hands on it!

Hello, I know which review you are talking about: tabletennis-reviews.com/ I saw this review as well and it made me interested in this rubber since I am a competitive U18 player in France and I have wanted to buy a new blade and new rubber plates for a while so I set out for a search of the best equipment possible to really reach my full potential, knowing my father gave me an unlimited budget since he knows I've worked hard for this. I was very surprised that this rubber wasn't even in TTD's top 5 rubbers of 2019 which is why I looked at other viedos until I saw yours and since you seem to be a great reviewer I would love it if you could come up with a TOP 5 pro rubbers as well as top 5 blades. @@Looeelooee hi i used hyper on my backhand and i struggle in looping heavy back spin, block was amazing also short game above the table. i believe this rubber is the beast but i need some tips on acceleration and blade angel ??

tried it black max 55 degree with viscaria on fh..best rubber i played with..i used boosted 39 non neo h3 b4 this..xiom is more spinnier on strong shot..very fast but feel lile a brick..but i like harder sponge..i balance the weight with palio ak47 on my bh..doesnt feel heavy after that

I just came across your channel looking looking for these specific rubber reviews. Thanks for the quality video! My question is if the Omega VII Hyper would be viable for me if I'm used to playing a Chinese rubber, specifically Hurricane 8 Mid on the forehand. I get quality shots but am looking for a faster rubber. My current blade is the Stiga Carbonado 290, which has a very low and direct throw angle.

The Hyper will feel significantly faster than H8 Mid but if you have a big swing you will be able to get used to it and adapt quite well. Glad you enjoyed the video!

yes i used to use vega pro. very similar rubbers but the X is definitely springier and off the paddle faster

Has anyone used Omega 7 Asia and Omega 7 Tour? What stands out between the two? I plan getting one of those for my FH. I play defense and I am used to Yaska Mark V for FH and Feint Long 2 for BH. I want something a little faster than the current Yasaka Mark V that I am using. Someone has suggested O7A or O7T. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

how does it compare to TG 2 Blue sponge boosted?

Now I use Dignic05 for fh smf Dignic80 for bh. I plan to change Dignic05 to Xiom Omega7 hype(Max,55degee hardness). Is this good idea??? Is it hard to control???

If you have good form you will be okay, but you need lots of acceleration every shot or it will be hard to control.

Ojo just recently played at a tournament here is San Antonio. Good player but he lost in the finals

Yeah he's rusty now. When he was still active on the Nigerian national team he could beat a lot of top 50 players in the world. He could occasionally beat Aruna and he beat men's WR-30 India's number 1 player in a tournament for a medal.

It might be a little too fast for a beginner. I'd say maybe try Vega Euro DF or Vega Asia DF if you're a beginner

How sensitive Vega X is to incoming spin? Could you compare Vega X to DHS Goldarc 8 (47.5) ? Or to Nittaku Fastarc G1 ?

I player a lot with DHS GA8 and FastArc G1. Vega X is more similar to GoldArc 8, but Vega has that nice clicking sound and is extremely easy and effortless to play, when FastArc G1 needs much more effort.

@@aldaron555 Bought Vega X just to try. Initial impressions: I prefer GA8. My problem with Vega X is it feels too soft to me, the ball sinks deep into the ribber/sponge and I've a feeling that it will bottom up easily (is this where that clicking sound comes from?). GA8 feels firmer and more controlled when hit hard, but the topsheet still feels elastic and supple enough for flicks and slow topspins.
