Yeah that’s bc if they give something that really good for you they will make you grind for it. Guys you also missed: Scopely wants more PvP but we give you more to grind

Basically the devs thought they'd done a great job making freebooters 'tough', they failed because they don't know their own game. Resulting in: "Right we'll show them!" The rewards aren't worth the trit, so the devs win/the new feature gets ignored.

More proof that nobody at Scopely plays this game with a real account.

There’s going to be another specialty ship. Probably the NX-01. It feels like a near certainty. It’ll probably be next month and, of course, it will be $100 or some grind for the unlock. After all, we do have the Vi’Dar, Talios, Mantis, Defiant, Voyager, Sarcophagus, Monaveen, and Stella…what’s one more? (Sighs) When the game feels too much like work, is it still a game?

Especially since they made it so that say the Talos needs you to grind a ton of ship parts for a tier4 ship to level that up before you can level it up. So to level the Talos you have to level another ship.

I may stop doing this loop just like I have stopped most loops that are ridiculously long.

i tried it and its so ridiculous even with the right ship and crew that im not gonna waste 5 hours...they are not listening to feedback this is just a way to let us know they dont care about feedback. Freebooters were cool. Now they are stupid. I guess they feel that continuing to anger their players is the way to go. Skip it and probably the game...get the person who did the grind cutdown in....gee maybe they will change it in 2 weeks when it wont matter...

I been saying that the people who put out the content in game aren’t game players…. If they were invested in the game play as they want the players to be then adding another grind with higher reward efforts is going to make another part time job hours….Because why the constant loops and not str8 play…

If it’s too easy then it’s boring and the rewards suck. But then again having to grind grind grind and grind some more gets tedious. What’s the alternative that isn’t easy to accomplish but isn’t so time consuming?

This is Voyager all over again and l fear whenever the NX01 Enterprise is released, it's going to have a very similar upgrade loop that you have to get a specific parts to upgrade the ship. If that ends up the case then l will not purchase it. Don't need another Voyager issue again.

Probably only takes me 2 seconds to ignore it and move to the next grind on the list.

As a level 41 with only G3 faction epics, my main issue was damage. I did a damage reduction crew but couldn't kill the enemy in 6 rounds. I used a damage crew and was able to beat one, but it left me with like 7% HP. So i'm stuck grinding the 34 systems with voyager and loot crew for 6-10 each.

I have to wonder what were they thinking on this. The only thing I can think is next month we'll get the NX-01 Enterprise and it will make it all easy, for a price.

Hey Rev, I feel like the fact that this loop broke one of the few things scopely did well in the past year is not being talked about enough. The whole point of Exborg/Freebooters was to reduce grind. This literally adds one of the worst grinds we've ever seen to the grind reduction faction and nobody is talking about it. It's almost like Scopely realized that wasn't helping their bottomline, so they pivoted hard and hid it behind an awful grind that will steal the attention away from them breaking a universally loved feature.

@RevDeuce i think what he's saying is that the currency that is supposed to be about reducing grind has now been diverted away towards yet another ridiculous grind. yes people are talking about the low loot, high time cost, and huge trit repair costs for double refines ... but i concur i've heard nobody address that this is ALSO directly compromising what was supposed to be a faction to reduce grind. we already had to balance the grind reduction of that exborg faction vs the research that took the same currency, now that same currency will be diverted towards another demand, all this assuming i understand his point. at some point we either accept they don't play test for player functionality at all or they intentionally release broken loot mechanics to milk the early adopters.

It's so sad, the faction store is great, the strategy behind killing these hostiles is interesting. But the grind time is just horrible. It takes me a good two hours for a single pull, that is just absurd.

Just one more loop/grind I will not be doing...ops 48, and I do not even have a Voyager (skip that loop), unsourcable pickle ship, (skip that loop). This "mobile game" requires more time spent than my 12hr work shifts...

Well I'm lvl 55 at the moment and I'm in the same boat as you with skipping speciality ships because real life gets in the way of this game that has started to feel like a 2nd job. Now of course I'll agree that those ships have value but when one doesn't have 36hrs a day to sit down and make pixels go boom that value isn't that valuable.

One more tip: put your best hostile Forbidden Tech on the ship doing these runs.

on the outside (ops 37) looking in, no one has really said anything positive about the 5 minute loop. we'll set would it looks like 6 months from now. thank you for your videos rev!

When the video dropped saying this is going to be a quick 5 minute grind." I was like, man, I'm doing something wrong. Turns out Scopely adding more time-consuming grinds has turned a lot of people off to this loop.

I’m a 53 player with a 126m t3 vorcha but can’t hit over a 44 ship as I don’t have pic picard so took over 8 hours to complete and still don’t have enough xindi scrap to do a refine/exchange. I ended up using a t7 korri as the cheaper trit option. Scopleys idea we should all have high tier ships is ridiculous. Unless a ship come out to beat them it’s just another grind which I will avoid.

I’ve done the missions. But I have zero of the tokens to get the third favor. So I guess I grind 32s for two hours a day for about eight days. Yeah. Great game addition.

I wish scopley would spend as much effort fixing the bugs and the new grinds.. the last incursion the last hour of it my game was dropping, lagging amd all the rest of the issues more then I had the entire week before

I am Ops 41 and basically gave up on the grind l. Maybe if i can take my Monaveen to tier 5 during the arc it will be doable but i was planning on skipping the 42 unc ships. This type of content makes me consider leaving the game.

Im using the Franklin A and J and 5 . Since my biggest ship is the augar and sure its a drag but they give me extra loot for my bang

Xindi changed with the newest update. Now we have to scan every 34/35 we hit to find whether they carry parsteel or Xindi loot. Thanks, Scopely, for making it even more difficult. I understand that at 41 I'm in that no-man's area that will become much easier when I can finally get a level 42 ship in a few months, but there was literally NO reason for this change.

Well PMT got my corvus 1 shot on a 46... yeah definitely done with this loop till I can do the research.

Just want to give my thoughts. Particle Beam Delay level 3 is not imho an ideal first priority. If you're barely getting damaged on the hostiles before the beam fires, then delay is a good idea, but if you're taking a beating before it fires, better off punching down. I easily kill the 42s and even 44s (once I put Metreon FT back on Pilum) inside the 5 rounds from Delay 2, but the 44s tear me up like mad so 46s just aren't worth it (can use my Northcutt, but the trit loss hurts). For Crit Floor this seems very dependent on how much +Crit % damage research you have, probably something people upper 50+ players have to deal with. I'm 53, my Pilum with Harrison can kill the 44s in one round, but if I crit any, it'll hit round two and loose Harrison's ability. However, the crit floor 1 isn't going to help me enough. But as said, Floor is definitely viable for larger players who have far greater Crit % chance where they're seeing tons of 0 damage, so +10% is going to be a boon. Btw my reasoning here, Crit Floor 1 is nearly the cost of Escalation 3 & 4 combined (about 3600 UC Exborg iirc vs 3120 for floor), so you need to heavily weigh if the 0 to 10% of your ship's damage is going to really get you the extra kills compared to +25% loot from getting 3 and another +50% for 4. Recapping, third delay is going to be very situational and play it by ear, see how you perform, low damage before the beam, then delay 3, taking a beating punch down and ignore Delay 3 for now. Crit Floor, if you're regularly losing tons of damage to crits from research, hit the floor, otherwise invest into loot and make what you can kill more valuable. Eventually we have to get everything anyway, just a matter of finding the path that works best for you to make this horrendous grind easier.

Just watched the replay of the stream. Can't beat the 40s 1v1 just yet, but Jaylah, Khan, 5 on the Franklin A is great for 35s if you've picked up the loot favour (get 7 instead of 3 scraps). 40 hours into the arc I've managed one chest. That included some fortunate damaged 40s I was able to snaffle.

Hey rev, you missed what I found to be the best tactic. Use boosting ships. A ritos boost almost doubles my haul per hull. Try it, you’ll like it

I've noticed that the Xindi hostiles punish you extra hard for going against the battle triangle even though their stats aren't very impressive...

Yep. A lot of players ignore the Combat Triangle. Rev has also been saying a lot lately that it doesn't matter anymore, which is really only true at high level PVP.

I’m OPS 42 without any 42 ship. Having great luck on 34/35 Xindi with E-Pic/E-data/E-Riker Bridge, Doc Below deck with Bortas that leveling to scrap

i have a 19M valdore and hitting 40s and having a very tough time figuring out an optimal crew, i can only kill 5-6 hostiles per hull with 5, tlaan and cath

I find I get more loot per hull with E Troi instead of 5 of 11. The little bit of shield strip leads helps more than the extra loot boost from 5 sitting there doing nothing else... And yeah, I'm having to grind the 40s as a level 50. Using Pilum as I'm about 90 blueprints from Tribune...

This grind is ridiculous.. I stopped last night and haven't done anything with it at all today .. will try the loot crew but I don't have ti.e for more grind .. this is irritating

From what I can see the cost outweighs the rewards

I broke down and purchased the NX-01 and am having no issues killing Xindi ships using PMT

One option - though it won't be an immediate fix - is to wait for incursions and use the loot exo to boost returns as well. But while the mechanic is really interesting and for once makes players think instead of trotting out the same old, same old crew - the rate of returns is appallingly bad. It's become a Scopely trope at this point to release what would otherwise be engaging content that gets the player base stirring only to massively miss the mark on implementation. I'd be curious to know if the arc runner behind the Voyager loop is the runner behind this one because the hallmarks are all there. At least this one isn't *that* complicated?

As a level 43 I simply cannot complete this event unless i dedicate hours and hours and hours of grind to it, which I can't because work/sleep/life are inportant things too. The lvl40 hostils are too strong even with the right crew and the lvl35s return on loot is pitiful. Just another event, like waves, that the lower levels can't sensibly participate in 🙄

Ha I made it in the video with the pilum testing! Thanks for all you so rev and helping the community overcome this impossible grind. Fingers crossed for lower turnins or increased drops from hostiles.

I am ops 41 and use the ent-e loot crew with Janeway instead of 5 which gives me result better than PMT on maxed enterprise with more loot. I can kill 1 lvl 40 with about 20% hull left because of increased isolitic damage. Takes about 20 trips for 2 chest pull with bonus chest drops of 100 and 79 per kill

U dont need delay above second tier. Mostly ur ship will die before u get on 5th round.

i'm ops 43 with a 14 mil valdore,maxed the particle beam delay,using pmt i can do 6 level 40s.hope it helps people my level with weak ships

Only takes 5 minutes per day rev (says scopely).

Yeah, I just watched Rev's preview video yesterday where he said that Scopely was so proud how this new grind would only take "5 minutes". That was before you saw what it was really like and realized they lied, right?

Be realistic - Xindi is for 42+. Epic G3 ship doesnt stand a chance to kill 40s. Not enough dmg to kill hostile in 4 rounds without crits. So you will need to kill ~400 36s for daily chest refine (need 1500 scraps, drop 2-5 with 5/11). Really?

yay...more 40+ content... I'm a f2p lvl 38 who has been playing over 4 years. No way even half of the players in the game are 40+

At 4 years you should be well past 38 (unless you just want to be at 38)

Use your cube to hunt xindi in the 35s. You don’t fill your cargo too fast, you get xindi loot, and you get 100 for Borg..I have collected 1000s of both…

Need tips for ops 41 and below on how do best xindi lvl 40’s to farm credits for chests faster.

I find that original Pike, Tlaan, Cath works the best for me with Vorcha vs 50's

Also do the 35 ever drop boxes and do survey ship ever spawn there

ran two ships through there last night for a couple hundred kills, and no they don't drop boxes. doubtful on the survey ships, but obviously that's hard to confirm with the long spawn times.

What kills me is Scopely saying that this will be a 5 minute grind... In what reality could you come to that conclusion?! Otherwise I like the faction store fine, and its nice to have a loop without a specialty ship. But yeah, its like they don't actually play their own game, because the think things that no player could think.

I use Ent-e Picard Harrison 5. I get about 40 level 40 kills per run.

It’s just so dang frustrating that once again, they introduce something that’s ridiculously hard and take their sweet time going about fixing it. You would think they would start formulating a back up plan for each new feature to dumb it down. Why do we have to go through this ALLLLLL the time

sucks to do a critical success on a rainbow mission with officer shard rewards only to see a big fat red 0 on the officer reward picture. They need to give you some kind of reward for the critical success like pattern buffers

Difficult grind is difficult. And time consuming. So very time consuming. I like the new favours very much, and some of the other new things available. But the time it's going to take to get even close to having them...

I'm a lv41 haven't been able to kill that 40. so i grind the 34s. i use 3 ships; enterprise: ent picard, ent data, kuron. voyager: 5/11, snw una, hugh and doctor in below deck. talios with Pan crew. if no one is around i could kill 100 xindis in 10 minutes. i need roughly 30 mins to get 1500 scraps but that's still craxy cuz i have to do that every darn day

xindi escalation: tier 1

I have no time for xindi as well aa wave. I need to pick and chose so currently not emphasizing these two things whether or not an event. I have never disliked sonething in the game as these two things

you don't need the 3rd level of particle beam delay immediately. t1 and t2 absolutely but since you are punching down, most fights are going roughly 3 rounds and the big gun doesn't fire. better served taking the escalation favor to t2 possibly t3 then go back to the beam delay. The current double pull scrap requirements is way out of whack for people ops50+. I think a lot of the 50-55 people will be able complete them once they get their escalation to t4 (125% increase). I'm ops 49 and complete the double pull fairly easily farming 42's/44's with a t9 pilum

Is there an updated Ex-Borg Favor Chart? If so, where can I find it?

I haven't bought the Battlepass yet for this month, and I don't like to financially reward bad decisions by Scopely. So I'm probably not going to give them any money until they they improve this new content. I have a 30 mil Korinar, and can kill at least a dozen level 40 Xindi hostiles before dying. But the time and repair costs are grossly disproportionate with the rewards for it all.

So, uh…..I guess that “only a 5 minute added grind” the devs told you was as accurate as a pre-glasses Ricky Vaughn fastball …

The skull is just to let you know it's an event system.

Reading the comments, one recurring theme: no matter what ops size and associated ship size, people can only do 3-5 ships a run .... Interesting. It would seem that if an ops 42 can do 3-5 40s hostile, then an ops 53 could do more 40s . But that's not happening.

At lvl 49, I don’t need anything better than my Kelvin… scoply: “hold my beer” Ugh now I’m going to need a rare G4 Taken me 3 hours just to get a single pull! And my own testing has five, cath and Tlaan giving me the best runs as I don’t have E-Picard yet. Might have to give this grind a miss for a while as I don’t normally have 3 hours spare (and if I did I would much rather catch up on some TV, this game is my pick up and put down game when I have 5 or 10 minutes here and there)

5-10 min new grind is more like an hour to get amount of loot u need to do double pulls 😊

This seems like trying to put out a fire re previously announced grind times. Pic Bev ain't working at all for me. Atm, until specialty ship comes out next arc, E-Pic, Data, 5 seems the way to go

Where can we find these battle log crew set images you had in the video? Discord is a mess, I can never find charts and whatnot in there.

this sounds like for high level player but if I'm level 39? do I still focus on particle beam delay first?

I am running into a frustrating issue. I can kill 4-5 lvl 40 Xindi, leave and repair, but when i come back i die to the 1st ship. this has happened several times

Rev the chart at 8:12 doesn’t seem right. The loot per hull calculation is out. It shows taking a full loot crew off the ship and the loot per hostiles increases not decreases.

After 10 hulls on lvl 40 ships with various crews I cant justify even trying to keep up this stupid loop.

Question I took a break from the game over few years I'm thinking of coming back how different is it last I remember was they were releasing picard if I recall

Run. Don't come back. It's an 8-12 hour a day grind to advance now. Or a cash sink. Stay away. Ops 54 on on Rev's server here. Go be a doctor or something instead.

The content I want to see and always have been is new factions like the feds etc. one where you can choose to go for or not. It’s too much. I’m even trying to sell my account now it’s gotten to that stage. I’ve been playing since I came out

Increase the loot or reduce chest size by 10x i dont think changing the hostiles is necessary

Double pull? Lol, I'll wait till Scopely has fixed this grind before even going for a single pull. 😂

Same but 3 players in our alliance. Folks are just done with the abuse. Scopley is intentionally causing pain so people will pay them cash to make it stop. This isn't fun game design, it's financial BDSM.

How long does it take for Wanted Xindi-Reptilian Warship to appear?

Why does trip work for players and hostiles, but phlox only for players? Is this a mistake?
