I wish you would have done a quick pedometer/accelerometer & GPS accuracy test for walking/running. Still a very good review though

Hi Chigz, great review as usual. We've discussed the pros of battery life on watches in other videos, but what I found frustrating with this second tier range of watches (ie not Samsung/Google) is the software and lack of integration with either Google Fit or Samsung Health. I cannot recall which watch did sync with GFit (think it was the Xiaomi band 7/8) but if you can add this to your testing, that would be awesome. However, the single most frustrating part of all of this level of watches (except maybe Amazfit) was the inaccuracy of either HR or Sleep or both. Whilst Samsungs are not quite as accurate as the Google fit devices, they're form and/or interface is so much better.. I reference the Quantified Scientist now when choosing smart bands/watches. There really is little point in these devices if the data cannot be trusted.

I don't think the Oximeter is accurate. A normal SPO2 is 95 percent to 100 percent. If anything lower, the person on the video who reviewed the watch will not be sustained in for the whole review.

Does this mean, does it mean it can use gps without internet?

Please compare with Galaxy Fit 3

Better than the nothing watch at this price?

When the timer and countdown are on, does it display current time?

Quick question: Do you have to register with a Xiaomi account or any other account, in order to use the app and how much personal data is being sucked back to their servers?

You can use in workout mode but not sure about stopwatch

Did you test fitness heart rate accuracy during training? Xiaomi is known to be very inaccurate

how is the touchscreen when wet? like during swimming? is it still reasonably responsive?

I don't think it has some kind of water mode at least i haven't found but i tested it in shower it survived

@@Ilkkuboiok.. my experience with touch only navigations watches can be a little frustrating as it is not so responsive when screen is wet.. i ended up getting a watch that has a scroll button to avoid that issue again

Xiaomi Watch 2 is better but wait for my Xiaomi Watch S3 video. Coming in a few days. That might change your mind.

It is not smartwatch and no need for BT in fitness watch

Hum, really does its name justice. Seems like a step up from the 8 in size, batterylife and added GPS. But I'm very happy with my 8 and prefer its smaller footprint whilst more or less doing the same job.
