Got mine just today, the immersive sound feature isn't as impressive as I thought it would be. Probably good for watching movies but not for music. I still suggest using the default setting and adjust your bass/treble according to your preference.

Did you test low latency on LDAC codec or ACC or SBC ? My global version works in this three codecs and another qustion yours is china version ?

I tested the Chinese version of the earbuds, but I don't know which codec I used during latency testing. I just connected the earbuds to my iPhone and played PUBG Mobile.

@@TechBrothersReviewsi don't know about the ios but in android if u have Chinese version you can change 3 type of Bitrate for LHDC Codec first one is for lower latency and best connection then normal bitrate for sound and connection quality and the last one with higher Bitrate for Highest sound quality. but mine is global version with LDAC codec and its have LOW bitrate but it seems not give you lower latency

i dont get why only few reviewers do xiaomi products reviews.... these new xiaomi phones 13 14 and newer earbuds all have lhdc 5.0 codecs, only in market, that capable of 24bit 192mhz hifi audio.... why they flow under radar???

Right? I was looking for Redmi Buds 5 Pro reviews from Picky Audio, Kenneth Tanaka and a lot of other known TWS reviewers but no one made a review for these buds. I came from using Soundpeats for 4 years, I had the Soundpeats Truengine 3 SE, the H1 and the Engine 4. All are super bang for buck earbuds, I'd even say the Engine 4 is the best in the sound department because that is all it's got. But I wanted to try new buds with ANC that also sound great for the price of the Soundpeats. I have a POCO F5 so I wanted to pair it with another Xiaomi product so I gambled and tried the Redmi Buds 5 Pro. Upon ordering I was afraid they wouldn't sound as good as my Engine 4s. But damn, these buds surprised me! They sound great, has stonger bass than the Engine 4s, and the ANC is good! Haven't tested the mic but I've seen some mic test of these buds and they're even better than Apple and Samsung! Truly underrated buds of 2024 for sure.

I have a question, can we pair them with samsung phones?

You can see a 49ms latency on the Xiaomi official website. I don't know how it can be tested in practice, but the latency is low.

Have you used ANC? The battery life is significantly reduced with ANC.

You're right, I didn't even notice it. These are different codecs: LDAC was created by from Sony, while LHDC was created by Savitech as an alternative to LDAC. It is said that LHDC actually performs better in terms of low-latency audio.

Have you tested the mic yet. I was curious about the quality of the mic because in some videos people says it sounds muffled in noisy environments because the ai noise cancellation alters the voice. And what's your experience with anc and pass through modes

Well produced review, just some feedback, please dont rush your words because your pronunciation gets VERY confusing and difficult to understand. So rather slow than unintelligible. Cheers

I have Huawei freebuds pro 2 - money waste. Jabra elite 8 was much better by sound quality. I think that cheaper Huawei low cost model can't be better than Huawei flagman by my opinion.

Hi I have owned the redmi buds 5 pro for about a month now and I want to clarify some things on game mode of this earbuds. You need to have a xiaomi phone to have that feature which is a bummer with at least bluetooth 5.2 (You have to switch to LHDC codec to turn on low latency mode) since LHDC is only supported from bluetooth 5.2 and above.

@@evening1457 sorry for the late reply. This earphone is still a good choice because they have a application for non xiaomi devices and if you're really concerned with the latency just buy the redmi buds 5 pro gaming edition. But tbh this regular 5 pro is more than enough

Are you sure ANC is on? Try different ANC modes in the app. You will definitely hear a difference when ANC is turned on.

It is a good question. Both of them support Dimensional audio, but the Redmi Buds 5 Pro has even better 52dB ANC compared to 48dB ANC on the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. However, the price is the decider here - Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro costs a cosmic $120 versus the $60 Redmi Buds 5 Pro.
