I have a simple question that hopefully you could answer. Did the camera receive the "firmware update" (mentioned in your video) to allow the front camera to record in 4K, whilst also recording the Rear Camera in 1080p? This is an important detail because I would like to have both cameras recording at the same time at their highest resolutions (4K + 1080p). Is this possible now? Did it get a firmware update allowing this?

Just bought it 2 days ago and installed the hardwire kit. I find the Parking Surveilance not really useful. The g-sensor is bad. I need to tap my windshield really hard to wake up the dashcam while the engine is off and the sensitivity is already set to high. It keeps on recording when there's "collision" and i think that might cause on draining the car battery The video is ok but I'm disappointed on the Parking Surveilance feature.

what great fucking roads. Smooth asphalt, clearly,visible, saturated lining. Spacious lanes and even where around a bus stop, cars still can pass, relaxed driving on the highway, not with douches flashing lights to overtake. The welfare is amazing. About the camera, I think is the best brand out there.

Would've been great if you could spin it around. I like to point it to my side mirror when I leave the car parked.

@@Shadow_JKD You're incorrect. The "Recording" option is meant to be "SOUND Recording". I double checked it on the 70mai app on iOS. You can't disable the VIDEO recording for this device.

*What happens when you press "emergency record", does it record from the both cameras? And does it do that itself when braking hard etc? Because my 70mai Smart Dash Cam 1S does that. And does the parking mode use both cameras?* Can't wait to get mine!

does it also block recording from a minute before pressing the button? usually IF you press emergency recording something already happened so you want to keep the current video but also recording from one minute earlier may also be important.

As a help for parking in the night, is it possible to use a 3rd party rear camera with IR instead ?

Bought it and installed today. Unfortunately not able to download the video footages into my iPhone via the app. The app shows down to app_album, couldn't find this folder in my phone.

Open the apps go to profile icon on top left corner. Then select app album. Open any video file, tap on export to iphone album. U can review it in your iphone gallery.

Any option to disable the device sound ( Boot and shutdown device music)

Not really possible but i guess you could take the camera off the mount and do manually.

Cables installation ( power & rear cam) can be easily hidden.

Where you put the camera would be a MOT Failure in the UK it’s inside the wiper sweep to large to pass so people DONT put it there if you don’t what your car to fail it’s MOT

Does this also work as a backup camera that switches to the rear camera when reversing?

I pulled the card and copied the files to my PC. The GPS data shows on playback.

How can we record video for long duration. Now it's recording max of 1 min only. For one hour travel it takes as 60 videos.

the indegogo is already closed,great review but missed a few things i saw from another reviewer,the built in battery for parking drains pretty quickly if the device is left on constantly,and also did you not try testing different bigger size micro SD cards just to see if they work,also xiaomi are a huge company why would they indegogo the item in question...seems odd

Hi Maverick. First, update the mobile app on your internet connection. After this, go to the car and open the wi-fi point of the camera, connect with your cell phone app, and the app is going to ask you to update the firmware. At least is how I did.

I'm wondering if holding down the power button while connecting power will reset to factory. You may have to keep holding the power button for a minute. If that doesn't work, send them an email.

Parking Surveillance feature on the camera is terrible. It has no buffering and doesn't start recording until 3 seconds after the event. If your car gets side swiped the other car will be out of the picture before the video even starts. My car is parked more than it is being driven as is the case for most cars so that's not a good thing. They updated the firmware so now the Parking Surveillance does not even work unless you buy their special 3-wire hard wiring kit to activate it... No thank you.

!!! WARNING !!! Disappointed about this Dashcam as the PARKING SURVEILLANCE mode starts recording only 3 seconds after an impact when it records because even on high sensibility some impacts are note detected! After 3 months of use, I also figured out video recording problems (shorter shootings up to 2 seconds for some, or no recording at all) even after updated the firmware! After communicated directly with a 70MAI technician, I aborted my hopes and decided to return the camera to the manufacturer and asked for refund (process accepted and pending)...

Приходится самому колхозить. У более дешевого китайца Джансан и то есть съемный, настраиваемый полярик. Копейки делов, а такая нужная вещь отсутствует !

I personally love the Xiaomi brand, but in this case, this model doesn't possess a super-capacitor, there is no buffered parking mode and aperture size is still not adequate F/1.8. It's still bad for the year 2021. If they can't recompile the device with at least F/1.6 they should strive to 1.2-1.0. Also they have no intelligent logic in hardware kits, like other brands. Like cutting the hardware kit power if the car battery droops under certain levels. All in all extremely expensive for features it possesses.

This camera is absolute rubbish you cannot even read the number plate in the next lane even with the traffic flowing the same way even my cheapo yi action camera does a better job than that .I would Avoid it like the plague or any other virus.

Don’t buy, once the battery will die then you will not find battery

Very bad camera. maximum about 50km/h. Max 30 frame video, only about 50-60km/h. Rear camera very bad pictures.

Yes, you can setup to start after 5, 10 or 20 minutes of no movement.
