Stick fights is a long lost art. There are brave artist out their that keep its flame alive but that mid 2000's to early 2010's prime is gone but no entirely forgotten. I pray for a stick animation renaissance in the future.

Xiao Xiao was one of most iconic series in stickman and flash animation scene. it inspired tons of artist and stickman scene 2002 january winter.... when computer was white, i was 7, my cousin said "hey you wanna watch badass stuff?" and i saw most amazing stuff in my life... it was first animation, first culture i've ever saw i was so inspired i draw shitton of stick mans and xiao xiao.and it continued to playing with shitton of flash on stickpage and newgrounds stuff back then ,unluckily i didn't learn flash that era never gonna forget this masterpiece until i die

I wouldn't say "by far" but there's a good case to be made for this one. Personally I think the 2 parter is the best one (infiltrating the building, chasing the boss via car, etc)

Still as amazing as it was all those years ago.

It’s really not though. Multiple times where the stick figures change sizes for no reason, the bowstaff suddenly goes from, well, being a bowstaff to being small enough for black to… kick? Weird slow motion segments that don’t make clear what they are showing (are they dancing at that one part? Holding hands? Who knows), I mean damn, I can count the frames. Don’t get me wrong, I am 35 now and so I grew up watching these. The first time i saw this in grade 9 it completely blew my balls off. But it’s unmistakenly an animation of its time

You're right, nevermind the nitpicking. This is, indeed, still as awesome as it was back then in 2001. After all these years, it's easy for some to point out the flaws, but we can still appreciate the effort and time put on what is ostensibly not supposed to be a professional work. I only wish the hundreds of animators which were inspired by this video actually got what made it work. The vast majority of them seem heavily based on Dragon Ball Z, in the worst way. None of them show nowhere near the amount of work Xiao Xiao has.
