Xiamen is mandarin pronunciation, is the same as Amoy is the anglicized word for Xiamen!

My grandmother was born in this Amoy (pronounced Aymen) before migrating to Malaysia due to hardship.

Probably we are distant relatives. My papa's name is Banlee Tan ( deceased) He was born there. Have a half sister. Former Helen Tan. We've not seen each other since birth 😥😥

Just to be clear, Taiwanese food is influenced by Fujian province not the other way around! After all, a lot of Fujian people emigrate to Taiwan in the past, not so much so the other way round!!

solo8ph basically any small electronic shop can fix it, most will only make you pay if you need a part replaced and then you only pay for the part itself. SM mall has a huge electronics store on the top floor of one of the buildings, sapphire I think? They could probably help. Be forwarded they could take about a day to fix any major issue.
