I'm kind of afraid to charge this. I placed batteries in flashlight and attached the charge. After I plugged it in it started to smoke immediately. WTH? Is that because the batteries were not inserted correctly? I finally figured out which way batteries go and the flashlight worked. I'm just hoping my house doesn't burn down trying to charge it! Also stupid thing came with out directions.

How does the "high" look like? From my experience with a few "high power" lights, let's say it says "high - 5000 lumin - 2.5 hours", they hit the advertised (or very close to) high for the first minute but then start stepping down gradually for the rest of the 2 hours, so it really doesn't do 5k lumin for 2.5 hours. I'm looking for a zoomable flashlight that you can put in your pocket or clip on your belt, I'm thinking a soda can sized one at the biggest and preferably multiple battery so it can last for more that 5 minutes on high/turbo, that can do at least 5000 lumin on any setting for a SOLID 2 - 3 hours minimum. If I have to get a 30k lumin light just so it can do 5k on medium for that amount of time I would. Any suggestions?

@@dsandoval9396 i have this light, same as here in the vid..its exactly as u say.. super brite initially , maybe 2,000 real lumens but it runs hot, and gets hot quick on high... lumens ramp down accordingly to half that...total run time if you forced to stay on high...Not wise! would be about an hr if ur very lucky and thats with 2650's ... if you want Real 5,000 lumen power and want to be able to sustain that on High for 2or 3 hrs? good luck with that! it would Have to be a genuine Cree, you would need decent name brand 2650 batteries, and even with a real cree, when you are talking xhp70.2 , these Will get flaming hot after that length of full power running... too hot to even handle.. full lumens on any of these lights was not meant for that length of sustained output. would need massive heatsink and the leds may still ramp down...solder connections on the driver boards tend to melt ect.. good luck though

Francisco Nunez no your not. Got mine in Australia and it is crap. Not one cycle of recharge before intermittently turning itself off whenever it wanted. Yes it is very solid, but not as a torch, as a hammer it has better value. In Australia through BAP Off-road they retail for $120 AUD. They arrived in nasty wrapping with absolutely no instructions. Chinese rubbish at best. Sorry, you can have mine.

Anyone believing 90,000 lm isn't really thinking, of course, they lie. Actually, most proper brands do exaggerate by stating the absolute max number stated by Cree/Osram, etc. The actual numbers you get in normal use are about half of that.

this is a 2nd comment After actually getting one of these myself...there are many out there that look identical to this by various sellers... Some of these batches have troubles with the on/off switch not working proper.. the one I received was like this..a double click and it works so I didnt return it..these lights are Very bright, Much much brighter that what you see in this vid so Im not sure whats going on here..maybe the camera just didnt capture it well...When I turn it on in a dark alleyway or back yard at night, it has a huge throw and lights up the place like a floodlight..it Eats batteries though, even the 2650's... if u try to use 18650's in it you Will be very disapointed, they drain just too fast... this is Not a cree led,its a chinese knockoff..these run hotter, use more battery per lumen output but they can be bright, just not effecient...lamp head will get Hot if run on high for too long and lumen output Decreases if left on high for anything longer than 5 mins..
