XG wasn’t lying when they said this year was gonna be SUPER CRAZY! My favorite part was when Harvey casually destroyed a fortress. XG stays being iconic. Cocona was the one that wanted to do the buzz, such a power move, she’s so inspirational.

10:37 Exactly ! Especially Harvey. She was the cute pretty model before becoming a trainee. But she made it only because she had to work so freaking hard to be selected as a XG member ! Not because of her beauty or her popularity, but because of her talent. Same goes for Jurin who was kind of famous before joining XGALX. Even Cocona who seems to be effortlessly good at everything was almost dropped out before debuting, so she had to work so hard to be where she is now. All the other members actually. This line makes so much sense after watching the documentary.

Left Right Spanish Guitar remix was fire. Shooting Star rock version was an epic opener. The fact they did Hesonoo & X-Gene dance performance live is well worth the effort of going to their concert. The remixes are just a special bonus.

Song was 🔥🔥🔥🔥, apparently Cocona has shaved her head before as a child as she felt it was comfortable and the island she's from in Japan can get hot so it felt appropriate for the summer and it was also a statement for the video pretty great 😁. Can we take a moment to acknowledge Maya's progression over the last year? Not that she wasn't impressive on the Tape 2 when XG really blew up, she had my 2nd favorite verse - Cocona was obviously the one that immediately grabbed everyone's attention though. Coco is still doing her thing but Maya ATE on Tape 4 and this track and even going back to Show You Can. She's on a crazy roll of just curb-stomping every beat she jumps on lately. And lets not forget Juria coming with the bars out of nowhere. I feel like everyone (me included) has had to double-take at that part like "Wait what? Was that Juria?" Reminds me of Maya hitting the crazy notes on Winter Without You and we were all like WTF? Where did that come from? You're in the rap line WTF are you doing sangin' like that?

Every time XG drops something now I'm half expecting SOMETHING to be amiss. But everytime it's like their entire team just eats, breathes, and dreams the same dream. And I mean every part of their team the person who does their Grills to the people who do the choreo to the people who decide what collabs they do. (Their candy collab literally screams XG it's like a fantastical candy shop that makes candy that support wolf conservation around) It's almost like Simon is basically like "Oh you want to take them in another direction? Sounds cool... get out." Like the whole team works so well to put together a product and the girls just OWN it because it's a product they themselves are working to put together. I do agree that I wish we had a little more out of Hi-chan here especially after the little taste we got in Undefeated but I feel like maybe her confidence in rapping English is still not quite where she wanted it and they decided to put out the 100% they did have instead of putting out something she wasn't comfortable with.

I’m late today but man this is my favorite MV / Song from XG. I love the rest of them, but this was just amazing to see how much they improved. Their English was perfect, flow switches were different and 🔥, Chisa’s melodic flow was soothing to the ears, Juria’s flow was surprising and great for her first time rapping, Jurin brought in the energy as always, Maya, Harvey and Cocona’s energy / aura gave me chills! You're right about unnie. It technically means older sister but any girl/woman addressing an older girl/woman in a friendly way can call her unnie. Similar Korean words you may've heard would be "oppa" (younger woman addressing older man) or "hyung" (younger man addressing older man, often translated as "bro" in English subtitles) etc. Age is a big part of social capital in South Korea and that's why Cocona is saying she acts like an unnie despite her young age.

Agree! I wish Hinata had a bit more but I think it comes down to (and I’m positive it’s always been the case with Simon and the girls) their comfort. Hinata has said she isn’t confident in her English but she has made so so much improvement which shows in their Flo cover. It may be that the level the other girls were on she felt she wasn’t there yet. I’m positive we’ll hear her spit along side them soon!

I usually struggle BIG TIME when it comes to being biased. I love XG as a whole and anyone of the members can easily grease there way in my heart as far as performance, skills, beauty and vibe. My favorite part of the video is when Chisa, Juria and hinata got to finally SHINE in their parts with rapping for real. Hinata just had the hook but she was perfect for it. Maybe Hinata might be the weakest sitter, and that still has to be determined? But I can definitely see the singing line up filling the void in completing the 7 rap line up, because everyone wants to see them all rap or at one point thought "what if they all rapped?".

Next original drop needs to have the rappers compete with the vocalists. We know they can vibe like an idol as good as they can spit but having 7 different drive by singing would be legit. I don't want any of these girls to ever relax, the more aggressive they are the better they all sound. Maya is a complete well-rounded wrecker and if Chisa and Juria continue flipping verse, they have the potential of creating a new genre of melodic rapping. I'm thinking Hinata is in a category by herself, being humble not to overshadow her vocalist sisters but you can tell she can flex when she wants to. Remember that she was the only one in Team C that was good enough to join Team A first and Team C goes hard.
