So the aerial combat is similar to 1 game, my strategy is very different from yrs, i use one for bait and the other for shooting from the rear, and if we end up with no ammo in the aircraft is attacking, just switch the planes, i have succeeded in doing that many times.

Glad that you like it. I will have 6-7 core guides up by today, which cover everything that you need to know about getting started

This game really makes you feel the pain if you even slightly lag on upgrading your air forces tech and numbers. Definitely prioritize bolstering the air force before your own units first. Things heat right before the second month

Once I understood the air combat better, it worked well. But it is certainly not an "auto-resolve" and done type of part of the game

well i'm trying but from what i have experienced i can only use 3 of them and why can't we use aircraft from 2 bases simultanously?, anyway suffice to say they are destroying all of them, and i don't have the neccasary resources to build phantoms

Fyi roll on mouse let you zoom in do you will be known how damaged ufo is. Later in the game you cannot just run towards ufo. They can one shot you. One ship distract at front rest attack from the rear.

True, some of the UFOs unfortunately have all around attack radius though, so having a good strategy to evade is paramount in either case.

Glad you found value in them.

It does have auto resolve and it is what the game actually recommends to you until the developers finish up work on aerial combat. Unless you change that in the difficulty options I guess.

When I played it, there was no auto-resolve option.

​@@SykenPlays What difficulty level? On the standard soldier difficulty the game literally tells you it is best to use autoresolve until they have finished balancing and stuff on manual air combat. I do recall seeing an option to remove autoresolve on the custom settings down the right hand side though when starting a new game.

Oh thank god they dropped the EA Air Combat they had setup. Was waiting to see if they kept it or dropped it before release.

Yeah, I played the first game and I loved the air combat in there. First time I saw the Second Game's Aircombat it was (far as I could tell) A near-static pair of 2D JPEG's that bounced as each JPEG Shot at each other. @@SykenPlays So I'm glad to see we have Xenonauts 1 Air Combat back again.
