I think that this coin system is honestly really smart. As much I think that I prefer collecting stuff as I play through the game and see that thoroughness actually pay off in my stats and options, once the credits roll I’d rather just have a quicker way to max my stuff.

Holy hell this is a godsend for the 7 Nopon Medals grind. I get that Monolith really likes the number 539 but this is just ludicrous. Tysm Enel :)

Small thing that wasnt covered: you can buy a 40% enemy drop rate boost from a "colony" in the cadensia region which is slight better than manana's cooking unless you want the 35% boost to collectibles.

For those who haven't got Teach's class to rank 20 on Sena for the Burst talent art, use Mio as Ogre instead (she gain a burst talent art at the beginning of chapter 6). Since the goal is to burst combo on repeat anyway, you don't actually need the absolute best stats on Ogre, worse stats actually helps to drag the fight out longer and potentially allow for more burst. Additionally, since Miyabi is already the hero, it might be more beneficial to leave the afk/player controlled char as the post-game healer class for additional defenses and a quick healing option should you feel bored and wanna contribute to the fight. Also, also, on a side note, with the food buff now fixed, you can get about 10 gold coins and 15-30 silver coins every 20 minutes.

My sort of 2 cents on this method since a big reason to grind for them just released in the N outfit. -IT DEF STILL WORKS IN THIS STATE OF THE VIDEO AND GAME. I have no idea if Enel intends to come back with adjustments or anything, but even if not dont worry because it def still works. -There is another way to get a higher % drop bonus then the recipe in the video. In the central cell canteen in Li Garte Prison camp you can order the nutritious block bar which gives you 40% vs the 35% from the crumblecrunch block bar. You are losing the 35% collectible drop bonus but if you want that extra 5% its there in the Nutritious Block Bar -You do not need the gems to 10, you will find your survivability is ridiculous and it all just kinda works out. I'm around level 5-7 on all my gems and I couldn't beat the boss past lv. 180 (although I only tried once and went back to the 120 retry which works) -Timing wise on the level 120 version of the boss it never got longer than 16 minutes and i beat it as fast as 11. -Make the time to grind the accessories for all 7 characters cause you'll never know when you'll want to hop in the fight. Hell even use what ever parts of the build you have to burst loop the bosses you get the accessories from. -It took me over the course of 3 days and just over 15 hours of play time using the 40% boost instead for a LARGE majority of my grind. Then again it should be stated I started with 1 of the Nopon Seven Star Medals. -I did not try it below level 99 but I'm sure you could give yourself a few levels but I wouldn't risk it above the 120 boss. And you can do it if you start the soulhacker class at level 1 w/ the exceptions of the required skills and arts. Those are neccessary. Genuinely its not that bad. Afk methods I feel are a really valuable thing so having noe like this is pretty great if you genuinely have the time. The worst part is getting the set up but documentation and methods are there to make that easier. If you have a lot of time on your hands the worst thing you'll worry about is keeping your switch charged and your meal timer full. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Ah I see you've found the no Noah amiibo route as I did! 😢 you need 77 gold coins to get 1 single 7 star nopon medal and you've gotta do that 7 times! I am doing this for those so I can have the Consul N outfit cuz I don't have the Noah or Mio amiibo's and I probably won't have them for months maybe even a year...

Finally... I was wondering if Gold coins could be farmed or not. Glad to hear both can be farmed relatively easily.

Only very minor addition I'd add is using Healer Post-Game Hero as your AFK character as their skill grants a 15% damage reduction

Oh my god, this guide is a gift from the heavens. Having to grind 150 materials per X gem is so tedious, yet I want to have all my gems maxed for the upcoming Challenge Battles just in case. I'll be farming the rest of the good gems manually (want to do that before challenging the super bosses in the first place, though I realize it's not really necessary) and then I'll be staying with Ceratinia for a short little while I think. Also, a minor thing you could improve upon: by definition, benefits are already positive, so you don't need to say "positive benefit". I don't think anyone minds, but since your videos are already fantastic, there isn't much else I can contribute!

Now that manana’s cooking and the canteen effects actually work now, technically the drop rate for nopon coins increased so this method of farming is a little faster now!

Your build is so great ! Works in hard mode too for a ~40min fight (and somthing like ~30 gold coins per fight when you have the 40% drop boost from Li Garte)

Great guide, needed the silver now can upgrade my other classes to lv20. Finished getting all my colonies to max. Maxing gems only thing left for me in this game and buying those secret accessories with silver.

the shimmering marcko in the urayan tunnel drops gold coins (silver too) with this method, I figured this out while I was farming for level X gems last week. I also suggest anyone looking to extend the fight further to add a common shield belt from Keves Castle to each character to decrease both damage given and received making for more blast opportunities - Id also say just fight the marcko since its not as crazy stacked as the final boss and switch everyone to a troubadour class with a B,T,D,B art so you do the least damage with the most blasts and you can sub out the smithy gloves for the belt.

@@msullivanxii What Level was your party when doing the farm?

The best character to put on Ogre is actually Mio. By the time you have access to the Chasm, she’s guaranteed to have a Burst Talent Art she can use on any class. I love inflicting Break or Topple as Mio before using the Burst Talent Art right away since the Art has a long animation (and I’m pretty sure it inflicts Burst all throughout) and I can usually Trust the AI to Daze in a timely manner. Plus, Mio Ogre does less damage than upgraded Sena, which is a good thing since the enemy will stay alive longer, allowing for more chances to get items.

These guides are cool, but I am really looking forward to all of the class guides. Can not wait for Lost Exile and Machine Assassin (even though the latter is not a good class)

For those curious, this grind took me about 70hrs, which includes maxing all gems with gold coins, maxing all classes with silver coins, as well as replenishing on food. Happy grinding and thanks for the video Enel!

Used the Demihuman Gutter reset method to level everyone's classes to 20, except for Noah's defender/healer classes. Definitely didn't feel like using a much slower method to level Noah's other classes and then grind for gems, but seeing THIS method, I can knock out 3 birds with one lazy stone! Silver for Noah's classes, gold for the gems, and soul hacker to get the superboss ability since I haven't beat it yet!

gold coins always drop the first time you kill a UM, but they aren't renewable like this one is.

There's also the Noah unlimited sword doom strat for cp farming. But that only works when you aren't leveling a healer on Noah. Its fast as all hell but so boring lol. The pack of elites in Demihuman Gutter work best for this. That or the Enpedias in the last area.

@@mr.leroysmith7012 It only works on normal or Elite enemies. But you get like 900 cp in 20 seconds in Demihuman Gutter with it. In case you want to know, here's what I did to max my classes. Equip Capable Hands skill, eat Agnus Castle food, spawn at Demihuman Gutter in Cadensia, turn back and spam Tachyon Slash on the Elites. Then hold minus to give up the moment I land the killing blow on the last elite. Then repeat. There's some extra things that make all of this go smoother. Monastic Necklace on everyone is one. Chaotic Memory on Noah also makes sure you hit all the slashes (to proc Doom) if you cancel into Tachyon Slash.

Using gold coin to craft gem take way longer than actually farming the required materials because with a burst setup you can easily get all the mats from a specific monster in 1 or 2 fight but I guess this is great for people who are too lazy to farm. Thanks Enel can't wait for more videos. Off topic but I dreamed about FMJ having access to Ghost Factory, Zero Zero and Executioner in this game and it was beautiful, XCX brainrot never ends even with XC3.

Damn. I wasted like almost a full day grinding materials. I saw a video of someone grinding coins off this boss but they were manually playing and it took them forever for like 3 coins. Cant wait to test this out.

To add my 2 cents, I think the farm is more afk friendly on normal mode after you have every party member at rank 20 for soulhacker. On easy, using Enels build, each fight lasts between 11-15 minutes, but on normal it can last between 25-30. Although, with all that said, miyabi does work the best, just in case you have a bad attack cycle and multiple party members die she can restore their arts to full. You can also equip your afk Character with a class you don't have maxed yet to utilize everything the boss "drops" including class points.

I wonder if the Challenge Mode coming in December will add more things to buy with nopon coins as well as being able to earn them in the Challenges themselves? I hope we get more attachments and non class based clothing options with this as well.

This method is equally as effective in farming the actual materials needed for the gems, more so with the last two patches. Though, you can't be as AFK because you need to be near the materials to get them unlike coins. Thanks so much for this vid.

I literally missed that you can use Nopon coins for ranking classes. I kept opening canisters and auto selling the silver coins. Would of saved so much grinding time.

Me too! I believe I’d seen about coins to level up not knowing they were silver! Yup sold quite a bit before realizing. I did spend 99 twice gold on 2 X gems. I’m sure they could’ve easily exceeded the match to 999 coins.

This is amazing. Ty so much for this, I’ll definitely be looking into it in the future. Theoretically, could this setup basically be applied to grinding out anything and not just coins?

Great method! But maybe using this method to farm UM is faster since by using the burst method the drop rate of materials should be bigger? Of course since some are lower leveled you can´t exacly go AFK so much but maybe it will be faster in the long run to farm that way instead of the coins route? It would be a neat test

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the heavy breathing done by the lv 90 zenze Taos that's just sleeping there on the pillar. Really unnerving the first time you hear it. I've followed your team set-up enel but rather than use it to slay the lv 120 superboss over and over again for 99 coins coins, I've just been hunting down the required mobs needed for the X gems with 40% drop rate and popping the game into hard. Get more drops after the 'daze' combo has finished. I was able to get two X gems in under 8 hrs.

That's a great farming method. I can basically just watch some anime while occasionally checking the undocked Switch to see if Ceratinia is dead or not.

Also note for gold coins exchange. If you plan to do ng+ brute memories come from 2 hulk chest, and the memory locket comes from a hulk chest as well. Plus legacy of the seven ring has a better tp value

This strategy will work for beating the other super boss fights as well, although swapping out One with the Land for Breath of the Sea is the only tweak for the aquatic SB.

Gonna hazard a guess that once the Nopon Sage opens his battle arena, we will be swimming in coins. I actually need more silver ones for the classes and maybe some accessories. I hard farmed all the items for the gems which honestly was a lot of fun, especially when I could just farm a unique monster and have You Will Know Our Names - Finale play while on hard mode. I may or may not do the gold coin farm cheese here but I think I'm going to hang onto that 6-healer 1-ogre loadout for a vindictive win-button option if any of the remaining bosses I have to deal with in the story or anywhere else get frustrating.

I really hope the challenge mode they introduce is less stingy with the coin rewards

ENEL THE LORD AND SAVIOR OF XENOBLADE FANS. I am NOWHERE near this, I havent even found one of the superbosses yet, but I am 100% using this once i get there

As someone who used to afk brutal farm in tales of vesperia this is right up my alley. Was really disappointed ng+ didn't reset the coin drops on UM first kills since it reset their tombs.

Im actually crazy enough to do this grind. It took me around 90 in game hours to complete. I could have cut off several hours where I was away from the switch between fights. There was also a couple crashes losing me a few hours. Starting out I had 75% of every character's classes at rank 10, with two level X gems already. I found you could get anywhere from 3-15 gold coins and about 30-50 silver coins every fight. I dont recommend using this to max gems and classes. I felt i could've had a more enjoyable experience hunting for some of the gems myself. Maybe use coins for the gems you don't feel like hunting for or when there is a monster drop that's hard to get. I would love to see how long it would take to hunt all the materials, and max out all classes without coins. Then compare times and how the experience was. Thanks for the guide!

Just gave this a try. I was using the food which gives 40% drop rate, weaker gems and accessories (I don't have enough break brooch so used nopon strap on Sena). My soulhacker arts and skills are not enhanced yet. Tried with 4 rounds with ~10mins per round, and I was able to get ~30 gold nopon coins and ~50 silver nopon coins. Also I find it's better if I control Lanz as I gave their Oroborous several launch arts and I don't want them to launch the monster.

HONESTLY BEST GUIDE SO FAR ITS SO ANNOYING TO LV ALL THE CLASSES ON EVERYONE UP

something I realised while doing this method is that the player control character can be whichever class you want/need to level up and you can cycle through which character you want to gain CP with

I'm going to use the Silver Nopon Coins for Collectopedia Cards, I still have a couple of Affinity Grinds to finish.

I don’t think it was mentioned in the video but it helps to turn interlink control to control over the party in the game options so you can keep the party from autonomously interlinking during the fight. It looks like you already have that set in the footage you showed since I didn’t see a single interlink.

Doing this on normal with player control seems better to me. From what I've tested, the coin rate is better and the fight takes longer so you can afk for longer

@@HibiTeamQueso If you mean that the player controls their unit and everyone else, that’s what I’m talking about. The options menu words it as the Player Option only gives you control over your controlled unit and their partner interlinking, and the Party Control Option gives you control of the whole party. The way the option is in the menu is confusing at first and I can see how my original comment was worded weird (it was late when I posted).

@@HibiTeamQueso Ok I wasn’t sure if I had confused things. I’ve been doing this farming method on Easy which makes the risk of dying at level 99 nearly impossible with this setup. When I had interlink on it made burst combos less likely to happen and sometimes they’d use launch with my current interlink move set, which I’m not wanting to mess with for this farming method. Also I’m maining Mio at the moment which puts Noah’s interlink break move out of play. If you changed up the Ouroboros move sets I could see it working with interlink on. Do you find you get better results on normal or do you prefer not to drop to easy?

@@Mattlovesanime64 I find that the drops are better on normal even though interlink may interfere sometimes. It also takes longer which I find better, less resets to do. I haven't tested it a lot of times to be 100% sure but that's my experience so far Edit: nevermind, easy seems to be better from more tests I've done. I've only done 6 times each which is few, but normal doesn't seem to be better. I think I got really lucky the first try 😂

The smithy gloves can be gotten from the single lv 53 ansel unique in everblight plain

This is super helpful, but, I'm hoping the Challenge Battles have a better/more fun way to farm coins.

damn that's really a convinient thing to do even in farming materials in the gems.

I do same stuff with 4 troubadours and farm materials -> burst spam. All mats can be farmed form uniqe monsters so its take around 1 hour to make 1 gem, and i level all classes to max in process.

Looks like Enel is training the lazy players like me to become professionals, gg 😂

Enel I gotta say, this setup has been absolutely game breaking. I never thought that having a team of 5 healers in a Xenoblade game would make my party members absolutely invincible AND be able to take down the enemy’s HP. Sure it’s slower than just fighting normally but watching the enemies spin like a wheel 4-5 times in a single fight and not being able to do anything about it is really funny 😂 i don’t even use this method to gather materials anymore, i just use it for the fun of it

That is pretty much same strategy as in Xenoblade 2 to farm for gatcha characters. But you only had to feed a animal so it good big, spin it a few times and run so it resets the mob (if you kill it you gota farm shit again).

@@Bullminator i had that setup for the Ardun farming as well. I never thought it would be used for normal battling instead of farming in XC3 though 😂

And here I was grinding common drops from bosses like a fool instead of bullying the strongest superboss in the game like a normal person

It took some time, but I finally got mine fully set up
