Was I suppose to watch something before this? I feel like some things were just there and some you have to make or download? I'm sorry I got very confused very early in the video. I don't see Xenia Canary in my documents.

The Xenia Canary folder in my documents is where I put the games I want to play on the emulator. Check the description for getting gears 2, 3, Judgment with TU and DLC...

@@Anonymous-tt3nb Yes, if you don't have 2 controllers plugged in, the game will naturally only play fullscreen with one player.

Best video i've seen on Gears xenia stuff. and GOD BLESS YOU for putting all the download links in the description, i swear hunting down all the dlcs was taking me forever (i've been emulating for months). You're amazing, thanks for the helpful video 💪

It's because they consider the backslash an escape character.... I guess they were thinking of making this emulator work on UNIX systems where they do use forward slashes instead for paths.

Thanks Firstdadcon, Gears of War was just that kind of game that a few tweaks could really change things up. Xenia Canary is a crazy amazing emulator.

nice videooooo , i will download :D , epic reaper and berserker look great in this game,Invasion games are difficult, now with a berserker they are more difficult

You seem to be the right person to ask this so.... Is it possible to toggle or remove single or multiple shaders in these games? I am planning to do a new Gears 2 Video for my channel but without any hud (crosshair, weapon select, ammo,+++)? I am trying to disable the hud completely.

The easiest way to remove the HUD is to bind an extra set command: Set GearPC myHUD None

You need to find and edit the TU ini file to inject in your command. See 15:35

I was playing act 5 chapter 5 acension. When i got Marcus dad. When i went into the elevator it said the iso image is corrupted and cannot be played. I played the whole game this far. What can i do to fix this?

I downloaded all provided files and did everything as shown, but whenever I'm using any weapon, when I press "fire" button the game immediately crashes with " graphics device lost " error. I am using Ryzen with AMD Vega gpu, the game was very slow but working without any gpu crashes on old xenia builds from 2020's ( when ROV was still working, but slow on amd ) now when I'm using emulator from provided link with shareable shaders, then the game crashed until i removed the shaders folder, Game crashed after the first intro (Act 1) if "disable ambient occlusion" was set to "false" in patches folder. I configured the emu a bit to make it as stable as possible, but these " Graphics Device Lost " errors occuring on weapon fire - how to fix it ?

Why is the game having jagged edges and is super aliased on Xenia? How to enable original anti aliasing? The Gears games look smooth on Xbox360 without any aliasing

That means your player-input ini file doesn't have the GBA_Y button mapped to GBA_POI. As for spawning enlxtra friends, you might consider changing which button.

Do you have a app too extract tu files?

I believe Velocity 0.1 is capable of it as well as modio... there's a few tools out there if you google for them.

In Xenia Canary config toml you can try forcing the graphics to use a certain type... Instead of gpu = "any" you can use "d3d12"

@@LATEXXJUGGERNUT Finished the whole game with crashes. Now GoW3 has the same issue which the new version didnt fix. It always crashes at beginning when they break felix out

@AintPopular It is possible your graphics card isn't as compatible as mine is, I use RTX 3060. Long ago it'd crash for me and the solution was to use the minus key on the numpad to slow frame speed down to 25% or even less. I remember finding out that secret to getting the g3 campaign to load past certain points like after the dream sequence where Marcus is getting out of bed, just as it's trying to load the G3 Logo on the screen. Frame speed can be restored via * or + key on the numpad..

is this for gears 1 or judgement?

The Xenia Canary Emulator works for all Gears 1, 2, 3, and judgment. That is, if the version is a good one, sometimes the newest version needs fixing... however I know the May ‎31, ‎2023 build of Xenia Canary works for all of them.

@@LATEXXJUGGERNUT thanks mate, had horrible performance/stutter on newest version with gow3, runs much better on may 21st build, couldn't find any other solution anywhere.
