The whole Open Beta is basically part of Xperiment Project, in which XH would have 3-days-long concerts each month for a while and after it they'll release a digital single. Since this is something StudioJ did with Day6 many years ago we believe that all those singles will be finally compiled and released as an album after the project is done 👀

The cake in the music video is a reference to their own song 'Strawberry Cake' :D It's one of their most famous tracks and Jooyeon's gone viral multiple times because of how high and difficult the chorus is!! But also the storyline of the mv is a reference to the comic genre the song was based on: the Korean title of the song is Songyeon Manhwa (k-version of Shōnen Manga) and a common trope in highschool-based manhwas is "the race for the cake" where students will rush to the cafeteria on the rare days they offer cake at lunch break and will even fight eachother just to get a slice 😅

OMG thank you so much for that explanation bc i was over here wondering why they picked such a stupid song title LOL. But it actually being the name for the korean version of shonen manga makes "Boy Comic" make soooo much more sense. It also explains their retro anime hairstyles lol.

@@pratfallpratt8998 Ahh np!! Technically "boy comics" is a very close translation to "shonen manga", but since no native-English speaker ever calls it that it's very understandable why a lot of people get lost on the song title 😭

@@shlenn See, I even knew about shonen manga, and shojo being manga marketed for girls, but I didn't know there was a term for the korean equivalent bc in the west we usually just borrow the japanese terms even when it's not made in japan. And I had no idea about the cake fight trope, that sounds hilarious tho. Ya learn something new every day lol.

hi!!! GREAT VIDEO!!! I am honestly in love with the song but I wanted to mention something lore wise that I noticed? I dont know how much you know about the XH lore (its SO interesting!) but quite literally this video is the first time XH is acknowledging real people? Like they go between virtual reality and the real reality, and because they cant go to virtual reality rn maybe this is the start of them socializing?? Idk, I just found it really interesting this is the only time they are in a normal setting, with normal people, with no connection to virtual reality. maybe they've finally separated themselves? in past music videos if they are surrounded by people in the real world its very metaphorical (idk if thats the right word?) like in happy death day they are aren't exactly acknowledged, and instead represent something. In Test Me MV, they interact with people but its in a virtual setting. Troubleshooting's whole "mood video" was the only time we see XH interacting in a very real and natural way with each other and as like regular people?? then now, they are highschoolers in a highschool, being normal highschoolers. Might start to hint towards that they've finally broken free from their addiction I dunno, just something to think about!

Have you already watched their concert performances videos? They released a few on their channel and Money on my Mind performance is insaneee
